The most reliable way to reach a Copa Airlines employee is to use Copa’s official Call Center directory, select the country you are calling from, and use the number and hours shown there. In the United States, Copa currently lists +1 786 840 2672, open every day from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. U.S. Eastern time (GMT−5).
Do not rely on pages that still publish 800-FLY-COPA: Copa discontinued that U.S. reservations number effective May 1, 2024. Copa also says in a February 2, 2026 notice that it does not provide general customer service through WhatsApp or instant-messaging chats.

Start with the official country-specific number
Copa’s phone support is organized by region and country, including Central America, the Caribbean, North America and South America. The number for one market is not a worldwide hotline.

- Open the Call Center directory.
- Select the country from which you are calling.
- Check the displayed hours, dialing code and service description.
- Call from a phone that can receive a callback if the connection drops.
- Have your booking code, passenger surname, flight number and travel date ready.
For U.S. callers, use +1 786 840 2672 during the hours listed above. Copa’s telephone-number notice confirms that 800-FLY-COPA is no longer the U.S. reservations-center number.

Ten legitimate ways to reach Copa
1. Call the reservation center for a booking change
Use the country-specific call center for ticket changes, disruption rebooking, fare-condition questions, seat assignments that cannot be completed online, permitted passenger-information corrections and tickets purchased directly from Copa. Ask the agent to explain every change, fee, restriction and refund condition before you authorize it. Some procedures may carry administrative fees.
Start at Copa Customer Care if you need the relevant online request or service category.
2. Use the U.S. reservations center when calling from the United States
The current U.S. route is +1 786 840 2672, 5:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m. Eastern time every day. It is intended for callers in the United States, not as a substitute for the number shown for another country.

3. Visit a Copa sales office
Copa lists sales offices and their addresses through its Customer Service section. Select Sales office, then verify the address, opening hours and services before traveling.
- Bring government-issued identification and every booking document.
- Confirm that the office handles your ticket type, payment or document issue.
- Do not assume an office can process every request handled by the call center.
4. Go to a Copa airport ticket counter
At the airport, a Copa counter or gate agent is the practical human contact for same-day itinerary problems, check-in or document errors, disruptions, seat and boarding-pass issues, and immediate rebooking instructions. Arrive early: agents must prioritize passengers with imminent departures.
5. Report delayed or damaged baggage at the airport
For a missing, delayed or damaged checked bag, go to the Copa baggage-service desk before leaving the arrival airport. Copa’s Baggage Report process supports follow-up, but the airport report creates the essential incident record.

- Boarding pass and baggage-claim tag
- Passport or other identification
- Photos of damage
- Receipts for reasonable emergency purchases
- The written incident or report number
6. Submit an official request or complaint
Use Copa’s Requests or claims process for service complaints, name corrections, travel-voucher questions, senior-citizen discounts, tax or fee exemptions, illness or death-related fee requests, ConnectMiles matters and other non-urgent issues. Copa says the Customer Service team will answer comments or complaints within 15 days on the referenced Customer Care page. Save the case number and submission email.
7. Use the refund-request and status tools
- Open Copa’s Customer Service or refund section.
- Enter the ticket number and passenger details exactly as shown on the reservation.
- Save the confirmation or case number.
- Check the status if the site provides that option.
- Call the appropriate country center if the request is urgent or the form rejects your details.

8. Contact ConnectMiles for loyalty-account problems
Use ConnectMiles Requests for missing miles, duplicate accounts, name changes and account corrections. It is a specialist route and is preferable to asking a reservations agent to fix a mileage-account record. Begin at Copa Customer Service.

9. Ask the issuing travel agency to act
If an agency, online travel agency, tour operator or another airline issued the ticket, contact that seller first for changes, refunds or reissuance. The agency may be able to contact Copa on your behalf and may control the reservation record. This is not the same as directly reaching a Copa employee, and Copa’s online tools can be limited for tickets not bought directly from Copa.
10. Use the Help Center and self-service tools
Routine requests may be faster through Copa’s Help Center and website tools, including Manage Your Booking, seat selection, baggage-allowance information, flight confirmation, itinerary changes, refund requests and refund-status checking. Escalate when the tool errors, the ticket came from another seller, travel is imminent, or the matter involves a disruption, baggage incident, payment dispute or documentation problem.

Prepare before you contact Copa
- Six-character booking code, if available
- E-ticket number
- Passenger name exactly as ticketed
- Flight number, date, origin and destination
- ConnectMiles number, if relevant
- Baggage-report number, if relevant
- Email address and phone number on the booking
- A short statement of the outcome you want
Provide card details only through a verified Copa process. Copa’s official pages do not establish a permanent “press 0” or “say live agent” shortcut, so do not assume one universal key sequence.

What Copa does not offer as a dependable shortcut
Copa’s February 2, 2026 warning about official websites and phone numbers says the airline does not provide general customer service through WhatsApp or instant-messaging chats. A WhatsApp number on Copa’s travel-insurance page belongs to an insurance partner’s assistance service, not general Copa support.
The official material does not verify a permanent general live-chat channel. If a chat widget appears on a Copa domain, verify the address and follow the interface currently displayed; do not trust a third-party page promising a guaranteed agent.
- Search-ad landing pages with phone numbers that do not appear in Copa’s directory
- Numbers claiming “24/7” service without a matching country page
- Requests to install remote-access software
- Demands for gift cards, cryptocurrency, wire transfers or one-time banking codes
- Social-media accounts moving you to an unverified messaging number
If the first route fails
The number does not work
- Recheck the country you are calling from and its international dialing code.
- Return to Copa’s official directory instead of using a third-party article.
- Confirm that the number is for your market, not agency or business support.
- Try during the published operating hours.
- Go to the airport counter if departure is near.
The system cannot identify the reservation
- Enter the booking code without spaces.
- Try the e-ticket number if prompted.
- Use the surname exactly as ticketed, not a nickname or shortened form.
- Contact the issuing agency when it sold the ticket.
An online form rejects the request
Check that the name, ticket number and email match the reservation. Save a screenshot, then call the appropriate country center or take the documents to a Copa airport agent. Avoid sending contradictory duplicate claims unless Copa instructs you to.

Do not wait for a general complaint response while still at the airport. Report the problem at the baggage desk, retain the incident number and then complete the baggage-report process.
Your flight is imminent
- Copa airport counter or gate agent
- Official country-specific call center
- Issuing agency, if applicable
- Online self-service only if it can be completed immediately
A general online complaint form cannot replace airport assistance when boarding or departure is close.
The Bottom Line
Use Copa’s country selector for the current official number, use the U.S. number only when calling from the United States, and match the department to the problem. Avoid old 800-FLY-COPA listings, unverified messaging numbers and promises of a universal phone-menu shortcut.
