In 007 First Light, New Game+ unlocks after you complete the campaign. IO Interactive confirms that unlocked gadgets and outfits carry over, and that you can change outfits or switch gadgets during a replay. But the official notes do not say whether collectibles, Intel, currency, ratings, challenge progress, or other save data reset or persist—so those details remain unknown.
What changes in New Game+?
New Game+ lets you replay the campaign with more flexibility over your equipment and appearance. IO Interactive added the mode in the free Update 1.3.0, called Extended Operations, released October 1, 2026.

Outfits can be changed through the journal
During a New Game+ playthrough, open the journal to choose an outfit. To apply that choice, restart from a checkpoint you select. This is a checkpoint restart, not an instant outfit change in the middle of active gameplay.
Gadgets can be switched during a mission
You can change gadgets while on a mission instead of waiting for the next chapter. The available selection is still governed by the story: you can choose only gadgets unlocked by that point in the campaign.

00 difficulty is a separate challenge
Completing the campaign also unlocks 00 difficulty. IOI describes it as a tougher mode in which enemies spot Bond faster and hit harder, while resources restore only a fraction of gadget use. The published notes do not give numerical multipliers. The update added 00 difficulty alongside New Game+, but the notes describe it as a post-campaign challenge rather than a New Game+ carryover rule.
What carries over?
IO Interactive’s official Steam announcement says gadgets and outfits unlocked in the first playthrough come along into New Game+. The patch notes also explain how those items work during the replay:

This confirmation applies to gadgets and outfits. It does not establish that every kind of collectible or progression carries over.
What resets—and what IOI has not specified
The official Update 1.3.0 notes and Steam announcement do not publish a complete reset or retention list. They do not state whether mission completion flags, collectibles, Intel, currency, ratings, challenge progress, or other save data carry over or reset. Treat each of those categories as unspecified, not as confirmed to reset or persist.

If a particular optional collection or challenge matters to you, consider finishing it before starting New Game+ as a precaution. That is not evidence that it will be erased; the official sources simply do not settle its status.
How to unlock New Game+
- Complete the entire campaign. IOI says campaign completion is required to unlock New Game+.
- Start a New Game+ playthrough. The official notes establish the unlock requirement but do not specify a more detailed menu path.
- Choose equipment as the story allows. Switch among gadgets unlocked by the current point in the campaign.
- Use the journal to change outfits. Restart from a selected checkpoint for the new outfit to appear.
Which update added the mode?
New Game+ arrived in Update 1.3.0, titled “Extended Operations,” which IOI described as its first major free DLC. The October 1, 2026 update also added Photo Mode, 00 difficulty, the Valhalla Protocol and Jungle Heist TacSim activities, new TacSim weapons and outfits, and more than 700 fixes and improvements. That fix count applies to the update as a whole, not to New Game+ alone. These details describe the documented version 1.3.0 release; later patches could change the mode.
