Not yet confirmed. The 192MB figure comes from leak-based reporting about a possible Zen 6 gaming processor, not from an AMD specification. The reported design uses two 96MB 3D V-Cache layers, adding 192MB per chiplet if that configuration reaches consumers.
AMD has confirmed that Zen 6 is in development and that it continues to use 3D V-Cache in Ryzen products, but it has not announced a Ryzen 10000X3D model, cache capacity, launch date, price, benchmark result or retail configuration.
What the rumored 192MB configuration means
ComputerBase and Hardwareluxx reported in 2025 that leaked information pointed to 96MB per 3D V-Cache layer and possibly two layers. Two layers would total 192MB of added cache on one chiplet. That is not the same as saying the entire processor would have exactly 192MB of total cache; the final total would also depend on the chiplet design and AMD’s other cache allocations.
Both publications described the consumer implementation as uncertain. No AMD document confirms that two layers will be stacked on a retail Ryzen processor.

What AMD has actually confirmed
| Evidence | What it establishes | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|
| AMD CES 2026 materials | Zen 6 CPU cores appear on AMD’s roadmap. | No Ryzen 10000X3D model or consumer cache specification. |
| AMD Advancing AI 2025 presentation | EPYC Venice is planned as a 2nm Zen 6 server product for 2026, with up to 256 cores. | Those server figures do not predict Ryzen core counts, process details or gaming performance. |
| AMD 2024 Form 10-K | Ryzen 5000 and Ryzen 7000 product families include models using 3D V-Cache. | No confirmation of a Zen 6 Ryzen part or a 192MB implementation. |
This evidence supports AMD’s continued development of Zen 6 and its ongoing 3D V-Cache strategy. It does not turn the leaked 192MB design into a shipping product.
Is a Zen 6 X3D gaming processor real?
Tom’s Hardware reported on 9 March 2025 that leaked information pointed to Zen 6 gaming Ryzen processors retaining 3D V-Cache. That is secondary reporting about leaks, not an AMD product announcement. The report indicates a direction AMD may take, but it does not verify a final name, specification or release plan.
There is currently no verified consumer Ryzen 10000X3D listing, official product page, independent benchmark or announced price in the available material.

What a multilayer V-Cache design could change
More cache capacity
A larger cache can help workloads that repeatedly access data sets that fit inside it, including some games. The size alone cannot predict the frame-rate gain: results depend on the game, the processor’s core and clock configuration, memory settings and how AMD implements the cache hierarchy.

The leaked figure is described as 192MB per chiplet. A multi-chiplet processor could therefore require games and the operating system to schedule work carefully; it would be misleading to treat the number as a guaranteed, uniformly accessible pool for every core.
Unanswered engineering trade-offs
Until AMD publishes specifications and testing, clock speeds, power limits, thermals, latency, cache bandwidth and the effect of stacking a second layer are unknown. A bigger cache does not by itself establish lower power use or higher performance.

Answers to the main Ryzen 10000 questions
How many cores will Ryzen 10000 have?
No consumer Zen 6 core count has been announced. EPYC Venice’s “up to 256 cores” figure is a server roadmap target and cannot be transferred to a desktop Ryzen model.
When will Ryzen 10000X3D launch?
AMD has not provided a verified launch date for a Ryzen 10000X3D processor. Any date circulating without an AMD announcement should be treated as speculation.

Will existing motherboards support it?
Platform compatibility has not been announced. Check AMD’s socket, chipset and BIOS requirements for the exact retail model before assuming that a current motherboard will support it.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Should you wait for Zen 6 or buy a Ryzen X3D processor now?
Buy a confirmed model when you need a system
If you are building or upgrading now, base the decision on a Ryzen X3D processor that AMD has officially listed and that retailers actually stock in your region. Compare its tested gaming performance, total cache, core and thread count, platform requirements, power and price rather than assigning value to the leaked 192MB number.
Wait if uncertainty is acceptable
Waiting makes sense if your current system meets your needs and you are willing to wait for AMD to publish a Zen 6 desktop product. You should expect to reassess the decision when real specifications, independent reviews and regional pricing appear.

Do not buy on the rumor alone
Do not treat “Ryzen 10000X3D” or “192MB 3D V-Cache” as a purchasable product description until AMD identifies a model and publishes its specifications.
What would confirm the 192MB claim
- An AMD announcement naming the consumer processor and its exact cache arrangement.
- An official specification sheet stating whether 192MB is added cache per chiplet and how it relates to total cache.
- A genuine retail listing with a matching model number and regional availability.
- Independent reviews that measure gaming performance, power, temperatures and behavior across chiplets.
Until those checks are available, the responsible description is “a reported two-layer, 192MB-per-chiplet possibility,” not a confirmed Ryzen 10000X3D specification.
