Nintendo announced the vinyl editions in 2025, with a release date of September 4, 2026. Its U.S. announcement listed regular prices of $49.99 for the 2-LP and $194.99 for the 8-LP box set. The main distinction is coverage, not a claim about which edition sounds better. Nintendo describes the 2-LP as a selection of 34 tracks and the 8-LP set as 130 tracks newly remastered for vinyl. Nintendo describes standard black and limited colored editions. The official Canadian store page identifies Laced Records as manufacturer and provides the 2-LP track list and release date; see Nintendo’s Canadian 2-LP listing. Vinyl is a physical collectible, so listening also requires a record player and suitable audio setup.
Where can you listen to the Breath of the Wild soundtrack digitally?
Nintendo documents Nintendo Music as a digital listening option for Breath of the Wild. The app is for compatible smart devices and access requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership, sold separately. Nintendo also notes that availability varies by country and that internet access and a compatible device are required. The Nintendo Music listening page for Ocarina of Time likewise says a Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to access the service. Are Zelda soundtracks available on CD?
CD availability needs to be checked for the specific game, edition, and territory. The sources cited here do not establish a current, authoritative inventory of Zelda CD releases across the franchise. That is not proof that CDs do not exist, and a past CD release would not show that the complete series is available on CD.
Before buying a CD, verify the exact game and release title, territory, publisher or label, track list and count, and whether the seller is offering a new or used copy. A precise product listing or reliable catalog is more useful than a broad claim that “the Zelda soundtrack” is on CD.

A Zelda-themed record may contain rearrangements rather than recordings of the original game score. Zelda & Chill, for example, is described by Black Screen Records as a collection of recreated arrangements drawing on the original Legend of Zelda, A Link to the Past, Majora’s Mask, Wind Waker, Ocarina of Time, Skyward Sword, and Breath of the Wild. The listing describes a limited-edition 150g black vinyl release and says the album is not affiliated with, associated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Nintendo.
