First find out where the repeat occurs: in your Live Control Room preview, in the completed stream archive, or only in one viewer’s player. If it is in the outgoing preview or archive, check the media and active scene in the software producing your stream. If only one viewer sees it, check that viewer’s playback settings. YouTube’s published help does not identify a “store promo loop” bug or provide a specific reset for it, and “store” could refer to different services.
Locate where the video repeats
Compare what you see as the creator with what another viewer sees. YouTube’s encoder workflow lets you check the stream preview in Live Control Room before going live; a completed archive can help you compare what was actually broadcast with a viewer’s playback. This comparison is a troubleshooting method, not an official diagnosis of this particular symptom.

- It repeats in the Live Control Room preview: The repeated content is already present in the feed reaching YouTube. Inspect the active source, media item, scene, or playlist in the encoder or production software you use.
- It repeats in the completed archive: Compare the archive with your intended program. If the same segment is recorded there, investigate the source or production setup rather than one viewer’s player.
- Only one viewer reports it: Ask another viewer to check. If others see the expected live content, look at the affected viewer’s player and playback context.
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That makes an available archive a useful comparison point, but it does not guarantee that every stream will have an archive available.

If the repeat is in the preview or archive
- Check the preview in Live Control Room. YouTube’s encoder setup uses a YouTube Live server URL and stream key. Before going live, verify that Live Control Room’s preview shows the intended feed—not a promo clip, stale scene, or repeated source.
- Inspect the production software or service sending the feed. Check which media item, scene, source, or playlist is active and whether it is set to repeat. The exact controls depend on the encoder or store/production service; YouTube’s cited setup instructions do not specify a universal loop switch or reset.
- Verify the scheduled stream and encoder connection. Scheduled streams can be opened and managed in Live Control Room. Confirm the encoder is sending to the intended stream and that the preview corresponds to the correct scheduled event.
- Test before the next broadcast. YouTube’s live-streaming tips recommend previewing and monitoring audio and video quality during the event. These are general precautions, not a guaranteed fix for repeated media.
If it still repeats, collect the name of the store platform, encoder or production software, and device; note whether the repeat is visible in the preview and archive, and whether multiple viewers see it. Without those details, prescribing a particular setting would be guesswork.

If only one viewer sees the repeat
Have that viewer check whether they enabled repeat for a video or playlist, where those controls are available. YouTube documents repeat controls for videos and playlists, but its help page does not establish that the same control causes every kind of live-stream repetition. Treat this as a relevant playback check, not a confirmed explanation.
Ask the viewer to compare playback with another viewer’s experience and with the creator’s preview or archive, if available. If the symptom is isolated to one player, share the device, app or browser, and the exact point where playback repeats when seeking further help.

What not to assume
- There is no cited YouTube documentation identifying a feature or bug called “store promo loop.”
- A viewer-side repeat setting is not a universal fix for a repeat present in the outgoing broadcast.
- The available guidance does not support buying a particular encoder or other hardware to solve this symptom.
