The available official JioCloud material describes JioAICloud storage, not a VPS product, so first confirm the provider and compute service shown on your invoice or control panel; do not assume JioCloud-specific network limits or policies.
First, confirm which VPS you are using
Check the provider’s legal or service name and the exact virtual-machine product in your billing console, invoice, or VM control panel. The JioCloud FAQ located for this topic concerns JioAICloud storage and its data-security features; it does not document a VPS product or VPS networking behavior. Jio’s JioAICloud FAQ therefore cannot establish that a “JioCloud VPS” is terminating your stream, or what its bandwidth, firewall, timeout, or traffic limits might be.

Once you identify the actual host and plan, ask its support team about long-lived outbound TCP/TLS connections, outbound port restrictions, egress or traffic limits, recent host or network incidents, and a route or packet-loss diagnostic to YouTube’s ingest service. Treat these as questions to investigate, not known facts about JioCloud.
Check the YouTube destination and transport
YouTube recommends RTMPS, the secure extension of RTMP. Verify the full RTMPS URL supplied by YouTube, including the scheme, ingest hostname, application/path, port, and stream key. A typo, incorrect hostname, wrong port, or TLS setup problem can cause connection failures or timeouts. YouTube’s RTMPS guide says the connection must use port 443 on the ingestion server. - Use the RTMPS endpoint and key shown in YouTube Studio for the stream you are testing.
- Confirm the encoder is configured for RTMPS rather than sending cleartext RTMP to an endpoint that expects TLS.
- Do not paste the stream key into public logs, screenshots, or support tickets. Redact it before sharing diagnostics.
Match the encoder to sustained VPS upload capacity
A speed test from your home connection does not tell you what the VPS can sustain. Test outbound capacity from the VPS itself, preferably during a representative stream and over a meaningful interval. Compare sustained upload performance—not just a brief peak—with the combined video and audio bitrate, and watch for packet loss or interruptions. If capacity varies, lower the resolution or bitrate first; raise it only after a stable test.
YouTube’s published H.264 recommendations include the following examples. They are encoder guidance, not a guarantee that a particular VPS can sustain the rate. Check YouTube’s current table and the selected codec before applying a value, since its recommendations may change.

YouTube advises testing before going live with representative audio and motion. Use a test stream or otherwise controlled test that reflects the content’s actual movement and sound; a static scene may not reveal the same encoding and network demands.
Use stream health and logs to locate the failure
Record the precise time of each disconnect. At that timestamp, inspect YouTube Live Control Room’s stream-health status alongside the encoder log and the VPS system or network logs. YouTube health messages can point to insufficient incoming video or configuration issues such as bitrate, codec, frame rate, or keyframe interval. Correct those signs before concluding that the provider is cutting off the session. See YouTube Live stream health status documentation.

Encoder settings to verify
- Rate control: use constant bitrate (CBR) where supported.
- Keyframes: set a two-second interval; YouTube says not to exceed four seconds.
- Codec and frame rate: confirm they are supported and match the configuration expected by the stream.
- Bitrate: ensure the configured rate is appropriate for the selected resolution and can be sustained by the VPS connection.
These settings are not a substitute for checking the actual health message: a healthy encoder configuration cannot compensate for an unstable outbound route, and a stable route cannot fix a misconfigured stream.
Investigate the VPS and network only after the basics
If the URL, TLS connection, encoder settings, and sustained egress look correct, correlate drops with system and provider events. Check for network-interface interruptions, CPU starvation that stalls encoding, encoder or process restarts, VM maintenance, and firewall or security-group behavior. Ask the verified provider whether it enforces long-lived connection limits or outbound traffic restrictions and whether it sees a host or route incident at the disconnect times.

Do not treat SRT as a drop-in replacement for YouTube RTMPS on the basis of packet-recovery features documented for other streaming services. The relevant SRT material concerns Google Cloud’s separate Live Stream API, not proof of YouTube ingest compatibility here: Google Cloud Live Stream API protocol documentation.

- Capture the disconnect time, YouTube stream-health message, encoder log, and relevant VPS logs.
- Run a test with the same content and encoder at a lower bitrate. Keep the endpoint, codec, and other settings unchanged.
- Compare whether the drop recurs and whether YouTube reports insufficient incoming video or a configuration problem.
- If possible, test the same encoder and content through a different network or provider, or use a separate YouTube test stream. Change only one factor at a time so the result helps isolate the cause.
- If the fault follows the VPS, send the provider timestamps and redacted diagnostics and request a network or host investigation.
