First determine whether the problem is in the stream you send to YouTube or in the video you watch. If you operate the stream, compare YouTube Live Control Room’s health messages and your encoder’s output status, then test upload capacity under the same household conditions that produce the drops. If you are watching, check playback on another device and connection before blaming the broadcaster or Jio AirFiber.
Is the stream dropping frames, or is playback stuttering?
These are different problems. A broadcaster’s encoder sends an outgoing feed to YouTube; a viewer’s device receives and plays that feed. An encoder can report dropped frames even while some viewers see smooth playback, and playback can stutter on one viewer’s connection while the broadcast itself is healthy.

- If you run the 24/7 stream: inspect the encoder and YouTube’s Live Control Room while the problem is happening.
- If you only watch it: try another device and, if available, another internet connection. If the issue follows one device or connection, investigate that playback path.
- If several viewers on unrelated connections report the same issue: consider a stream-wide or encoder-side problem rather than assuming each viewer’s Jio connection is at fault.
Check YouTube’s stream health and the encoder first
While the broadcast is active, open YouTube Studio’s Live Control Room and read the stream-health indicator and any specific messages beside it. YouTube says Live Control Room checks the stream being sent to YouTube and displays errors alongside the health indicator. Note the message and the time it appears; those details help distinguish a connection issue from an encoder fault. See your live stream’s metrics.

At the same time, check the encoder’s output status and dropped-frame indicators. YouTube recommends inspecting the stream directly in the encoder, checking encoder errors and computer CPU load, and testing the outbound internet connection if encoder output looks healthy. A heavily loaded computer or a poor source can resemble a network problem. YouTube’s live-stream troubleshooting steps explain these checks.

Measure upload headroom during the problem period
A fast download result does not establish that you have enough upload capacity for a live stream. Run an upload test from the streaming computer or device, preferably when drops usually occur. Compare the stable upload result—not just a short peak—with the encoder’s combined video and audio bitrate. Also account for other people and devices using the connection: YouTube notes that shared household use can reduce the bandwidth available to the stream.
YouTube recommends leaving 20% headroom above the total stream bitrate. If you send a simultaneous primary and backup feed, include both feeds in the total. This is YouTube’s recommendation, not a guarantee of stable performance on a variable wireless connection. See YouTube’s streaming tips.

Try a controlled lower-bitrate test
If measured upload capacity is close to or below the stream’s bitrate, temporarily reduce output demand and observe whether the stream stabilizes. Change one setting at a time where possible, so the result tells you something. YouTube’s H.264 recommendations include 6 Mbps for 1080p at 30 fps and 3 Mbps for 720p at 30 fps. These are reference recommendations, not universal minimums or a guarantee that a 24/7 stream will remain stable. Lower resolution or bitrate can reduce picture quality, and it will not fix a general connection fault. Review YouTube’s encoder settings and bitrate guidance.
Separate local Wi-Fi from the AirFiber connection
If practical, test the streaming device close to the AirFiber router, or use a wired connection if your equipment supports it. If the stream improves substantially near the router, or behaves differently across Wi-Fi bands, the local wireless link may be the weak point. If it fails just as often near the router, weak room coverage is less likely to explain it.

Jio describes 5 GHz Wi-Fi as offering more speed but less range than 2.4 GHz. Distance, walls and other obstacles affect which band works better in a particular home; test rather than assuming the higher-frequency band will be more reliable. Jio’s Wi-Fi frequency guidance covers the distinction.
When a mesh extender is relevant
Consider a compatible extender only if tests point to a local Wi-Fi coverage gap. Jio lists the JioExtender JE6000 as a Wi-Fi 6 extender for JioAirFiber mesh mode and states coverage of up to 1,500 sq. ft. That is a vendor-stated maximum, not a guaranteed result in every home. An extender may improve coverage; it cannot repair an upstream Jio service fault or guarantee stable encoder upload.

Run Jio diagnostics and escalate with useful evidence
- In the MyJio app, select Fiber, then JioCare, then Run Diagnostics.
- Select the affected service and run the check. Follow any fix the app offers.
- If the issue is not resolved automatically, Jio says you can raise a service request and choose a field-engineer appointment. See Jio’s Run Diagnostics instructions and complaint guidance.
When contacting support, provide dropout timestamps, upload-test results, the Live Control Room message, the streaming device’s location, and whether the issue also occurs near the router or affects other services. This gives support a specific window and conditions to investigate. The title alone cannot establish an AirFiber outage or diagnose a particular home’s signal, upload capacity, congestion or packet loss.
