Yes. Samsung says users may uninstall Samsung Global Goals, but the button available on your Galaxy device depends on how the app is installed and configured. Open its app-info page in Settings: choose Uninstall if shown, or use Disable if uninstall is unavailable. If you only want to stop ads while charging, you can turn off that feature without removing the app.
How to check whether your device can uninstall it
- Open Settings on your Galaxy phone or tablet.
- Go to Apps, then select Samsung Global Goals. Menu wording can vary by model and software version.
- Check the controls on the app-info page. If Uninstall appears, tap it and confirm. If the device offers only Disable, use that option if you want to stop the app from running.
Samsung’s general app guidance distinguishes downloaded apps, which can be uninstalled, from selected default apps that cannot be removed and may instead be disabled. Samsung Global Goals may come preinstalled or be downloaded from the Play Store or Galaxy Store, so the available control can differ. Samsung Australia documents this path to stop Global Goals content appearing while charging: open Samsung Global Goals, go to Settings, and turn off Global Goals whilst charging. The label may differ with the app version or region. Samsung Australia’s instructions for removing ads include this setting.
What Samsung Global Goals does—and what uninstalling means
The app presents information about the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals and supports fundraising through advertisements and donations. Samsung describes users as being able to contribute ad-generated funds or donate their own money. You do not need to keep it installed to use your Galaxy device’s basic phone functions.

Samsung’s terms say users may stop using and uninstall the service. They also describe an option to disable the lock-screen wallpaper experience. The terms do not establish whether a particular user’s displayed balance or donation history will remain accessible or be recoverable after uninstalling. If that information matters to you, check your account and app details or contact Samsung support before removing the app. Samsung Global Goals’ terms of service cover use and termination of the service.
Why you may see Disable but not Uninstall
Samsung’s guidance says some default apps cannot be uninstalled and can instead be disabled. That is a device-level limitation, not evidence that every Galaxy device treats Samsung Global Goals the same way. The app may be preinstalled or installed from an app store, and menu options can vary by model, software configuration, and region. If only Disable appears, that is the removal-like option available on your installation; do not assume that another button or procedure will be available on every Galaxy device.
