What kind of game is Yargis?
PlazSoft developed and published Yargis – Space Melee, released on Steam on June 30, 2015. Steam describes it as a fast-paced, top-down spaceship shooter. Its listing says the single-player story has 29 levels and includes online, LAN, offline-versus-computer, single-player, co-op, and split-screen play. Listed battle modes include King of the Hill, Capture the Flag, Prison Break, Base Conquer (co-op), Maze Race, CTF Maze, and Melee Battle. These are listed modes, not confirmation that each one has an achievement.

Yargis achievements: confirmed names and limits
The Steam store listing, checked in 2026, says the game includes nine Steam achievements. It displays names such as “Finish 100 Rounds of CTF,” “Collect 100 Coins,” “Finish 100 Rounds of CoOp,” and “Destroy 100 Ships.” The listing establishes those names, but not a complete set of exact unlock instructions.

In a Steam Community update dated May 12, 2025, Jeff – PlazSoft discussed achievement status and wrote, “I think everything is fixed now.” The post names “Destroy 100 Ships,” “Destroy 10,000 Ships,” “6 Figure Income,” “Millionaire,” “Finish Single Player,” “Rescue 10 Space Cows,” “Finish 100 Rounds of CTF,” and “Finish 100 Rounds of CoOp.” It also refers to “Travel 1 Mile” as removed and “Travel 100 Miles” among known issues. This is historical developer guidance, not a guarantee of each achievement’s current unlock behavior. Check the current Steam achievement list in your copy for the latest status.
Achievement titles can suggest what to work toward, but the sources above do not verify every trigger, tracking rule, or reliable completion route. In particular, do not treat a title alone as a full walkthrough.

How to control your ship
The default controls given by the official Steam listing are: “Hold down W for Thrust, use the Mouse to steer, and Space for brake.” You can customize controls at Settings > Controls. Steam also lists keyboard, mouse, and Xbox 360 game controllers for local play.
Fixed or non-fixed input
A developer tip on the Steam Community hub says to open Settings, choose Controls, and uncheck Fixed Input to switch to non-fixed controls. The developer described fixed input as easier and non-fixed input as more like Asteroids. This is a preference tip, not a universal performance recommendation. See the community discussion.

Can you farm money quickly?
The official listing confirms that playing single-player and multiplayer earns money and experience, but the sources reviewed do not establish a best money-farming route or mode. A community player asked, “what is the best way to farm money to be able to get the more expensive stuff?” That question reflects a common progression concern; it does not verify a particular strategy. For confirmed spending options, Steam lists ships, weapons, items, and ship-part upgrades.
