Ben “Yahtzee” Croshaw still reviews video games. His current series is Fully Ramblomatic, made for Second Wind—not a continuation of Zero Punctuation under a new name. The headline’s “being mean” is affectionate shorthand for his acerbic comedic style, not a claim that every review has the same tone.

What Yahtzee is doing now

Croshaw makes Fully Ramblomatic, a video game review series published by Second Wind. In a January 2025 post, he described it as “the similar but legally distinct Fully Ramblomatic” and contrasted it with his former work on Zero Punctuation at The Escapist. Read Croshaw’s post on Bluesky.

That distinction matters: Zero Punctuation did not simply move intact to another publisher. Croshaw’s current show is a separate series, even as it continues his work as a game critic.

From Zero Punctuation to Fully Ramblomatic

In his November 2024 Reddit AMA, Croshaw gave Zero Punctuation’s run as 2007–2023 and described Fully Ramblomatic as his current review series at Second Wind. The Escapist’s site still identifies its show as Zero Punctuation: The Escapist’s Zero Punctuation page.

The change followed Croshaw’s November 2023 announcement that he was leaving The Escapist and starting Second Wind with Nick Calandra and the former Escapist video team. He called the new outlet “a 100% independently owned and funded gaming and pop culture channel” and announced a weekly review series, Fully Ramblomatic. Read the announcement on Croshaw’s blog.

Where to watch or listen

Second Wind’s listed programming includes videos, podcasts, livestreams and written columns. Fully Ramblomatic is also listed as a podcast, so listeners can find the review show in audio form. The Apple Podcasts catalog has listed episodes in 2025–2026; episode listings and availability can change. See the Apple Podcasts listing.

For Second Wind’s broader outlet context, see its Steam group. Croshaw’s account of the show’s transition is also in his November 2024 AMA.

Is he still “being mean” about games?

The reliable answer is that he is still making video game reviews; “mean” is a judgment about the comic voice, not an established description of every episode. Croshaw’s own description supports continuity between the two shows while explicitly treating them as distinct series. The available evidence establishes neither a universal tone nor a measurable change in how harsh the reviews are.
