Display: AMOLED or a higher refresh rate
Xiaomi describes the Redmi Note 15 5G with a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED panel running at 120 Hz. OnePlus leads with 144 Hz and a 1000-nit peak brightness figure. Peak brightness is a manufacturer measurement under test conditions, so it is not directly comparable to a rival’s figure unless the same test method is used.

Panel type is the one display detail where sources disagree. Xiaomi’s page says AMOLED, while 91mobiles describes the OnePlus screen as LCD. Check the panel type in the full specification sheet for the exact unit you intend to buy before relying on either claim. If you prefer deep blacks and an AMOLED panel, that choice depends on the Xiaomi listing being accurate for your version.
Performance: two chipsets, mostly manufacturer claims
The Redmi Note 15 5G uses a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, and the Nord CE6 Lite uses a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex. Xiaomi’s product page states: “Powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, the Redmi Note 15 delivers fast performance, smooth gaming, and efficient multitasking backed by 48-month lag-free certification.” That is brand marketing copy. OnePlus’s “5 Years of Fast and Smooth” is also a brand claim.
The sources used here contain no controlled, same-test benchmark or sustained-gaming comparison of these two phones. Neither chipset should be ranked on the strength of “fast” wording or on synthetic scores from different test suites. For a performance decision, look for independent reviews that run the same benchmark and gaming tests on both phones.

Cameras: an ultra-wide lens against a higher-megapixel main sensor
Xiaomi lists a 108 MP main camera with optical image stabilisation and an 8 MP ultra-wide lens. OnePlus lists a 50 MP main camera and a 2 MP depth-assist sensor, and emphasises 4K video. The sources here do not list an ultra-wide lens for the Nord CE6 Lite.

A higher megapixel count does not establish better image quality. Sensor size, optics, processing and stabilisation all affect results, and none of these sources include side-by-side sample images or low-light tests. If you shoot wide group photos or landscapes, the ultra-wide lens is the clearest hardware difference on paper.
Battery and charging
The OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite has the larger rated battery at 7,000 mAh, compared with 5,520 mAh for the Redmi Note 15 5G. Both are listed with 45 W wired charging, so the battery difference does not come with a faster charging rate on paper.
A bigger rated capacity does not guarantee proportionally longer use. OnePlus’s footnotes describe its battery figures as lab-based or modelled measures and note that real-world experience varies. No comparable independent battery-life test is available in these sources.
Memory and storage
Xiaomi’s India store lists the Redmi Note 15 5G at 8 GB + 128 GB. The 91mobiles comparison lists 128 GB storage. OnePlus states up to 256 GB of built-in storage and expansion up to 2 TB. Its microSD slot shares the SIM tray, so if you use dual SIM, you must choose between a second SIM and a memory card.

The OnePlus RAM figure for the configuration sold in your market was not stated in the sources, so memory cannot be matched across the two phones without checking the live listing.
Software support
Xiaomi’s product page states four years of OS updates and six years of security patches for the Redmi Note 15 5G. This is the only explicit update commitment in these sources.
OnePlus describes OxygenOS 16 and “up to 60 months” of fluency. That is a smoothness claim, not an OS or security update promise, and should not be read as a support period.

Xiaomi claims IP65 and IP66 dust and water resistance plus MIL-STD-810H certification for the Redmi Note 15 5G. OnePlus says the Nord CE6 Lite is tested to MIL-STD-810H and offers IP64 splash and dust resistance. The two companies describe different ratings and test scopes. Neither listing in these sources claims submersion-level protection.

Service and repairs: manufacturer-relayed figures
Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 15 5G product page cites a 2025 Counterpoint study, relayed by Xiaomi. It reports that 52% of repair issues were resolved within four hours, against a 47% industry average, and that 37% were resolved for under ₹1,000, against a 28% industry average. These figures come from Xiaomi’s summary of the study. They are not independent tests of this phone, and the original study was not reviewed for this article.

91mobiles shows ₹28,999 for each phone in its comparison. That is a secondary listing and does not prove the two phones are equally priced in every market or configuration. Store prices, discounts and stock change, so check both live listings for the same memory configuration and note the date you checked.
Which one fits your use
Choose the Redmi Note 15 5G if
- You want an ultra-wide rear camera alongside the main sensor.
- You prefer a phone that lists AMOLED and a published four-year OS update commitment.
- The 8 GB + 128 GB configuration at the listed ₹28,999 still matches your budget.
Choose the OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite if
- Battery capacity matters more than camera breadth, and you accept that rated capacity is not a runtime guarantee.
- You want a 144 Hz stated refresh rate.
- You need storage beyond 128 GB and are willing to give up a second SIM slot to use microSD.
