The Redmi Note 15 Pro wins on camera hardware (a 200MP OIS main sensor), screen size, listed dust and water protection, and software support length. Both use a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra-family chipset. A third-party listing showed the Redmi at ₹31,999 and the P4 at ₹30,299, a ₹1,700 gap. Everything below refers to the India versions on the official Xiaomi and realme pages.

The spec figures come from the manufacturers’ own pages. The prices and release dates come from a 91mobiles comparison page. Those were not checked against launch announcements or live checkout pages.

Price difference
The 91mobiles page displayed ₹31,999 for the Redmi Note 15 Pro and ₹30,299 for the P4, a ₹1,700 difference. This is a listing snapshot, not a fixed MSRP. Street prices change with bank offers, sales and seller. Prices also depend on RAM and storage variant, so compare the same configuration before you decide. The P4 launched about five months earlier, so it has had more time for price movement.

Xiaomi lists a 200MP main camera with optical image stabilisation plus an 8MP ultra-wide. realme lists a 50MP main camera plus an 8MP wide-angle. The Redmi has the more capable hardware on paper, and OIS generally helps with low-light shots and video steadiness. Megapixels do not decide photo quality, though. Processing, sensor size and tuning matter more, and no directly comparable photo tests were available. Treat the Redmi as the camera-spec leader, not the proven better camera.

Display: size vs smoothness
The Redmi has the slightly larger screen at 6.83 inches against 6.77. The P4 offers 144Hz against 120Hz. Both are AMOLED. The 144Hz panel can feel smoother in supported games and scrolling, but the step from 120Hz is small. Brightness figures on brand pages may be measured under different conditions, so no brightness winner is claimed here.
Battery and charging
The P4 has the larger stated battery, 7000mAh typical (6830mAh minimum), against 6580mAh on the Redmi. Its 80W charging is also well ahead of the Redmi’s 45W, which should mean noticeably shorter charge times. These are rated capacities and speeds, not measured endurance. Real battery life depends on the chipset, screen and software, and the two phones differ in all three.

Performance and gaming
Both phones use a Dimensity 7400 Ultra-family chipset, so expect broadly similar everyday performance. A shared chip does not guarantee equal sustained performance, because cooling, software tuning and thermal limits differ. No independent, comparable gaming tests were available. For gaming, the P4’s 144Hz screen is the one concrete advantage on paper, and only in games that support that rate.

Xiaomi lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings and Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It also lists four years of OS updates and six years of security updates. No comparable official ingress-protection or glass rating for the P4 was established, so assume a gap only in the documented evidence, not in actual build quality. For buyers who keep phones for years, the update commitment is a real point in the Redmi’s favour.

Xiaomi’s page also cites a Counterpoint Study (2025) saying 52% of repairs were resolved within four hours against a 47% industry average, and 37% were resolved for under ₹1,000 against 28%. These are Xiaomi’s service claims, not a phone-to-phone comparison.

- Choose the realme P4 if you want the bigger battery, much faster charging, a 144Hz display and a lower listed price.
Check live prices for the exact RAM and storage variant first, since offers can change the ₹1,700 gap.
