The standard Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 has a larger, faster-refreshing display on its cited specifications, while the HMD Crest Max stands out for its 50MP front camera and listed 5G support. Which is better depends on the exact Redmi model, local network bands, and same-country prices: the standard Redmi Note 13 is not the same phone as the Redmi Note 13 5G.
Redmi Note 13 vs HMD Crest Max: key specifications

Which Redmi Note 13 is being compared?
The name can refer to different network variants. Xiaomi Mexico’s standard Redmi Note 13 specifications list a Snapdragon 685 and 4G, while Xiaomi UK’s Redmi Note 13 5G page lists a Dimensity 6080 and 5G. Those differences affect mobile-network compatibility and the hardware comparison; do not assume a listing for “Redmi Note 13” describes the 5G model.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsBefore deciding, check the full model name and specification page for the country where you will use the phone. Then compare its supported bands with your carrier’s bands. For the cited Redmi 5G variant and Crest Max, the listed bands are not identical, so the “5G” label alone does not establish that either will work on every network.

Display: Redmi lists the faster refresh rate
Xiaomi specifies a 6.67-inch, 120Hz AMOLED panel at 2400 × 1080 for the standard Redmi Note 13; its global page also gives a peak brightness figure of 1800 nits. HMD’s detailed Crest Max specification page lists a 6.56-inch FHD+ OLED screen, also at 2400 × 1080. HMD’s overview page instead says 6.67 inches, so its own pages conflict on screen size. Xiaomi specifications · HMD technical specifications · HMD overview
On the cited figures, the Redmi has the stated 120Hz refresh rate and a slightly larger display than HMD’s detailed figure. Refresh rate and panel specifications do not, by themselves, establish which screen looks better in person.

The standard Redmi’s listed rear cameras are 108MP, 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro, compared with the Crest Max’s 64MP, 5MP ultrawide and 2MP macro. For selfies, the listed figures reverse the emphasis: 16MP on the Redmi and 50MP on the Crest Max. These are camera resolutions, not comparative image-quality results; megapixels alone cannot tell you which phone takes better photos.

If you choose based on photography, consider which camera you use most and look for sample images taken in comparable lighting with the exact regional model. The specifications establish camera resolution and lens roles, not performance in low light, motion, portrait processing or video.
Battery, charging and protection
Both manufacturers list 5000mAh batteries and 33W charging support. HMD also advertises up to 44 hours of battery life, but that is HMD’s own claim rather than an independently tested head-to-head result. HMD says its battery has been tested to maintain at least 80% of original capacity after 800 full charging cycles; this, too, is a manufacturer statement. HMD specifications
The cited dust and water ratings are IP54 for the Redmi and IP52 for the Crest Max. Xiaomi specifically cautions that its phone is not for immersion and that protection may diminish over time. Neither rating should be treated as permission to expose a phone deliberately to water.
Price difference and availability
There is no reliable universal price difference: prices, configurations and stock depend on country and date, and the Xiaomi pages used for specifications do not provide a matching current retail price. HMD’s UAE product page showed AED 849 and listed Amazon and local retailers; its India page showed ₹16,499 against a ₹22,499 MRP and an out-of-stock status. These are distinct market page states, not a like-for-like price comparison with the Redmi. HMD UAE page · HMD India page

Which phone should you choose?
Consider the standard Redmi Note 13 if
- You want the cited 6.67-inch AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate.
- You value the listed 108MP main rear camera, 3.5mm jack or IR blaster.
- The locally sold configuration has the storage, NFC availability and network support you need.
Consider the HMD Crest Max if
- A 50MP front-camera specification is a priority for your use.
- The listed 8GB RAM/256GB storage configuration and microSD support suit you.
- Its supported 5G bands match your carrier and the phone is available at a competitive local price.
- Its stated update policy meets your needs; check how much of the period remains, counting from HMD’s global launch.
Neither set of specifications establishes a universal winner. Make the decision using the exact local model, network compatibility and current same-market price, rather than camera megapixel totals or a battery-duration claim.
