The Redmi 15C 5G is listed at a higher price than the Redmi A7 Pro 5G in Xiaomi’s India store, but the two phones are not sold at the same storage tier. The 15C listing is 4 GB + 128 GB at ₹18,499, and the A7 Pro listing is 4 GB + 64 GB at ₹14,999, as checked on 4 October 2026. The A7 Pro is ₹3,500 cheaper. The 15C has the stronger listed camera resolution, the higher wired charging ceiling and the higher dust/water rating, while the A7 Pro has the larger typical battery and the lower price. Neither specification sheet proves which phone performs better in daily use.
What the ₹3,500 price gap actually compares
The gap is real in the cited listing, but it mixes two variables. The Redmi 15C in that listing has twice the built-in storage of the A7 Pro. Divided by storage, the 15C works out to roughly ₹144 per GB (₹18,499 ÷ 128 GB), while the A7 Pro works out to roughly ₹234 per GB (₹14,999 ÷ 64 GB). That arithmetic favours the 15C, but it ignores the processor, screen, battery and camera differences, so it is a storage-value calculation only.

Storage tier mismatch
An equal-storage comparison would give a different answer. If you can only find the A7 Pro in 128 GB, or the 15C in 64 GB in your market, the price relationship changes. Check the exact RAM and storage configuration on the product page before comparing prices.

Promotional labels and live prices
The Xiaomi India store shows promotional markdown labels and crossed-out prices. Treat these as temporary listing prices, not as official launch prices or a stable market-wide price. A price snapshot from one store on one day cannot tell you what either phone will cost next month or at a retailer in your city.

Processor and performance
The Redmi 15C uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 and the Redmi A7 Pro uses a T8300 5G chip. Both are 6 nm designs, but they use different CPU core configurations, so the spec sheets alone cannot rank them. Xiaomi’s Saudi Arabia page lists the 15C’s maximum CPU frequency at 2.4 GHz. The A7 Pro’s core counts and clock speeds are on the India page.

No independent benchmark or gaming test was available for this comparison. Do not infer that either phone is faster for games or multitasking from the core layout alone. Sustained performance depends on thermal design, software and memory configuration, which these pages do not describe.

Both phones use 6.9-inch panels with a refresh rate that reaches 120 Hz. Xiaomi’s Global page for the 15C describes the feature this way: “Refresh rate can be adjusted to up to 120Hz for supported apps.” That wording matters. The 120 Hz setting applies only to apps that support it, and the A7 Pro’s refresh options are listed as 60, 90 and 120 Hz on the India page.

The 15C has a 1600 × 720 resolution, while the A7 Pro is listed as HD+. Brightness figures are not directly comparable. The 15C page gives typical and high-brightness-mode values, while the A7 Pro page gives a peak value. Judge the screens by viewing them in person, not by the nits figures alone.
Cameras
The 15C’s 50 MP main sensor has the higher pixel count, and that is the main camera difference on paper. Pixel count does not decide image quality. Sensor size, lens, processing, and software tuning all affect results. No independent camera test was available for this comparison, so the spec sheet cannot tell you which phone takes better photos.

Battery, charging and the box
The A7 Pro has the larger typical battery, at 6300 mAh compared with the 15C’s 6000 mAh. Typical capacity is a rated value, not a measure of how long the phone lasts. The 15C has the higher charging ceiling at 33 W, but Xiaomi says its power adapter is sold separately in certain regions. The A7 Pro India listing includes a 15 W charger in the box.

Xiaomi’s Global page for the 15C includes an internal laboratory claim: “After completing 1000 full charge cycles, the battery can still maintain 80% or more of its original capacity.” Xiaomi attributes this to its Internal Labs testing and says actual results may vary. This is a manufacturer test under lab conditions, not an independent measurement. Budget for a charger separately if you buy the 15C in a market where the adapter is not included.

Durability ratings
The 15C’s IP64 rating and the A7 Pro’s IP52 rating describe resistance to dust and water splashes under specific test conditions. They are not permission to submerge either phone. Xiaomi’s Saudi Arabia page says the resistance can degrade with daily use and advises against immersion. Treat both ratings as protection against incidental splashes and dust, and avoid pools, showers with the phone in use, and wet-environment use without a dedicated waterproof case.
Connectivity, microSD and NFC
Xiaomi’s Saudi Arabia page for the 15C lists a broad set of 5G standalone and non-standalone bands. The A7 Pro’s India page lists n1, n3, n5, n8, n28, n40, n41 and n78. Band lists are not guarantees of service. Xiaomi’s Global page for the A7 Pro states: “5G connectivity may vary based on regional availability and local operator support.” Check the band list for your country’s model and your operator’s network before buying.
NFC availability also varies by market, so confirm it on the local listing if you plan to use contactless payments or transit cards. The microSD capacities are listed differently by region: up to 1 TB for the 15C in Saudi Arabia and up to 2 TB for the A7 Pro in India. Confirm card support for your local variant.

Software and update terms
The 15C’s Global page refers to HyperOS 2. The A7 Pro’s India page lists Android 16 and HyperOS 3, with four years of Android updates and six years of security updates. These pages come from different markets and different dates, so they do not establish which phone will receive newer software sooner. Confirm the current version and update commitment for your exact model and country before you buy.
Quick Recap
Which phone fits which buyer
- Choose the Redmi 15C 5G if built-in storage matters most, you want the higher listed camera resolution, or you value the higher wired charging ceiling and IP64 rating, and you can afford the price difference.
- Choose the Redmi A7 Pro 5G if the lower listed price matters most, you want the larger typical battery, and 64 GB of storage (with microSD expansion) is enough for your use.
- Reconsider both if you need verified benchmark, camera or endurance results. The official listings in this comparison do not provide them.
Checks before you buy
- Confirm the exact RAM and storage configuration and the final checkout price on the store or retailer page on the day you buy.
- Check whether the adapter is included with your local model, and budget for one if it is not.
- Verify 5G band support, NFC availability and microSD capacity against your local model and your network operator.
- Check the current software version and update commitment for your country.
- Treat the IP rating as protection against splashes and dust only, not waterproofing.
