Xiaomi’s Mijia Lightweight Small Backpack was reported on sale through China’s Youpin platform on October 13, 2026. IT Home reports a weight of 140 g, an integrated fold-away pocket, about 4 kg of everyday carrying capacity and level 4 water repellency. Those claims make it a plausible backup or light day bag, not a proven waterproof or heavy-load pack.
What Xiaomi’s new Mijia backpack offers
The bag is designed to be carried when needed and stowed inside its own integrated pocket when not in use. IT Home describes high-density nylon fabric, an external pocket, side attachment loops, a high-density handle and S-shaped shoulder straps. The reports do not state the bag’s volume or unfolded dimensions, so its usable capacity and packed footprint cannot be compared precisely with other daypacks.

Xiaomi Community described the product as “the lightest backpack in the entire Mijia backpack series” in a September 18, 2026 post. That is Xiaomi Community’s characterization; the available figures do not provide a complete weight comparison across the Mijia range.

How the fold-away design works
IT Home describes an integrated stowing method: turn the backpack to its back, fold the sides inward toward the center, then roll the base into the pocket at the top. Xiaomi Community’s launch post also described it as compact enough to fit in a palm when stowed. The design is intended to keep a spare bag ready in luggage or a larger bag, though the reports do not give a measured folded size.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Water resistance is not waterproofing
The level 4 water-repellency claim is framed in IT Home’s report around light rain or spills, with water wiped from the surface. It does not establish protection against prolonged rain, immersion or water entering through seams and openings. Treat it as a bag for brief exposure rather than a substitute for a waterproof pack or dry bag when contents must stay protected.
China pricing and availability
IT Home reported a Youpin sale price of 69.9 yuan on October 13, 2026. Xiaomi Community’s earlier September 18 post listed a 59.9-yuan crowdfunding price and a 99.9-yuan suggested retail price. These are different price points reported at different times and should not be read as one current, universally available price. The reports establish China availability only; they do not confirm a global release, regional stock outside China or an Amazon listing.

Who it may suit
At a reported 140 g, this backpack’s clearest use case is as a lightweight spare for errands, travel or other situations where a compact carry option is useful. Its approximately 4 kg everyday load figure points toward light essentials rather than bulky gear. Before choosing it as a primary daypack, a buyer would need the volume and dimensions that the cited coverage does not provide, as well as locally verified price and availability.
