1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteWhich is better? It depends on what you value and where you can buy it. Xiaomi’s reported 18 Pro Max specifications emphasize a much larger battery, faster charging, a small rear display, and high-resolution camera hardware. Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra has an officially specified higher-resolution main display and 5x optical zoom. Those differences make for useful buying criteria, but they do not establish which phone lasts longer or takes better photos in real use.

Specifications are not test results. In particular, battery capacity does not directly predict runtime, camera megapixels do not determine image quality, and display resolution alone does not settle which screen looks better.

Which phone has the better display?
Samsung lists a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel at 1440 × 3120 pixels, with an adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz. Samsung measures the diagonal as 6.9 inches across the full rectangle and 6.7 inches when accounting for rounded corners. Xiaomi’s 6.9-inch, 120Hz display is listed at 1208 × 2624 pixels by Gadgets 360. The resolution figures give Samsung the higher pixel count on paper, but they do not by themselves establish brightness, color accuracy, viewing comfort, or overall display quality.

Xiaomi’s privacy display and rear screen
Beyond resolution, Xiaomi’s reported distinction is a privacy-oriented main display that can activate based on location. T3 describes the feature as narrowing viewing angles by deactivating portions of pixels; Android Central also reports location-based privacy triggers. Treat those descriptions as reported functionality, not an independently measured privacy guarantee.

These specifications point to different things to compare: Xiaomi’s listed sensor resolutions and periscope hardware, versus Samsung’s stated zoom steps. They do not prove which phone produces better portraits, clearer distant subjects, more usable low-light images, or stronger video. The cited material does not provide a controlled, comparable image set or camera test, so a camera winner cannot be named on that basis.

Which phone has better battery life and charging?
Android Central reports an 8,500mAh battery for Xiaomi, with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Samsung’s official listing gives the Galaxy S26 Ultra a 5,000mAh battery; Gadgets 360 lists 60W wired and 25W wireless charging. These are reported capacity and charging ratings, not measured battery-life results. Actual runtime depends on use and other conditions, and the cited sources do not establish a direct runtime comparison.

How do performance and durability compare?
NanoReview lists Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 for Xiaomi and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Samsung. Its Xiaomi AnTuTu 11 result is based on fewer than three samples, which is too limited to support a robust independent performance verdict. The processor names and that small-sample benchmark should not be treated as proof of sustained speed, gaming performance, or thermal behavior in everyday use. (NanoReview)

For the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Samsung lists a weight of 214g and IP68 ingress protection, and notes that water and dust resistance may diminish over time. Gadgets 360 lists the Xiaomi at 203g and IP69K, but that rating is not confirmed here by a primary Xiaomi product specification. Verify the certification and exact model sold in your market before relying on it for a durability decision.
Is the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max available globally?
Android Central reports that the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max debuted in China at a starting price of 6,999 CNY. It describes a global launch as expected, while T3 reports that Xiaomi spokespeople said an overseas launch would take place within 2026. Those reports do not establish a confirmed launch date, country list, or local price. The 6,999 CNY figure is a reported China starting price, not a local-market MSRP or a promise of availability.

Who should choose each phone?
The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max may fit buyers who prioritize
- Its reported 8,500mAh battery and higher listed wired and wireless charging ratings.
- The reported rear screen and privacy-display features.
- The listed 200MP main and periscope cameras, provided the phone is available with suitable local support.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra may fit buyers who prioritize
- Samsung’s official QHD+ display specification and higher listed resolution.
- A clearly specified 5x optical zoom option.
- An official Samsung product specification and market listing in their region.
These are recommendations based on listed features, not measured superiority in use. Compare the price and configuration actually available to you, and confirm warranty, network compatibility, storage, and software-support terms before deciding.
