The OnePlus Nord 6 leads on published display refresh rate and battery capacity; the Xiaomi 17T stands out for its dedicated periscope telephoto camera. Which is the better buy depends on whether you value those features more than the other phone’s strengths—and on current prices for matching configurations. The specifications below come from Xiaomi’s global listing and OnePlus India, so check the regional model and live listing before purchasing.

Which phone has the better display?
On the published maximum refresh rate, the Nord 6 is ahead: OnePlus lists 165Hz, while Xiaomi lists up to 120Hz. A higher maximum can allow smoother motion in supported content, but the number alone does not guarantee better image quality or a visible advantage in every app. Both are listed with 1.5K AMOLED displays; Xiaomi specifies a 6.59-inch panel.

Battery capacity and charging: what the numbers tell you
OnePlus lists a 9000mAh battery and 80W charging for the Nord 6. Xiaomi lists a 6500mAh typical-capacity silicon-carbon battery and 67W HyperCharge for the 17T. That gives the Nord 6 the larger stated capacity and higher listed charging wattage, but these specifications do not establish which phone lasts longer in comparable everyday use or how quickly each charges in practice. Xiaomi says actual charging performance may vary, and its global specifications page says a power adapter is not included; check the package contents for your region.

Camera choice: periscope reach or a simpler setup?
The clearest camera distinction is on the rear. Xiaomi equips the 17T with a 50MP periscope telephoto camera specified at 115mm equivalent, alongside a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 12MP ultra-wide. The Nord 6 has a 50MP Sony main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide, with no dedicated telephoto listed. Choose the Xiaomi if a dedicated telephoto lens is important to how you shoot. These specifications do not establish overall photo quality; no independent head-to-head camera test is available here.
Software support and performance claims
OnePlus says the Nord 6 is eligible for four Android OS updates and six years of security updates via OTA. Xiaomi’s global specifications page names HyperOS 3 but does not establish an update-duration commitment, so the cited information is not enough to compare support periods.

OnePlus attributes its performance and battery figures to its own test lab. Its product and launch pages describe controlled test conditions and caution that actual experience varies with factors such as network, apps, settings, usage and environment. Those vendor tests—including gaming claims tied to specified modes and settings—are not an independent, direct comparison with the Xiaomi 17T. The listed processor platforms alone also do not establish which phone performs better in real use.
Price difference: check equivalent listings first
The comparison pages surfaced Nord 6 at ₹46,999 and Xiaomi 17T at either ₹59,999 or ₹69,999. These are retailer snapshots, not a verified, current like-for-like pair. Storage configuration, seller, offer terms and listing date can change the comparison, so the figures do not support a reliable price-gap calculation.

Before deciding, compare listings in the same marketplace and match the RAM and storage configuration, seller and offer conditions. If a price includes a time-limited introductory or bank offer, account for that separately. The source pages list launch dates of April 7, 2026 for the Nord 6 and June 4, 2026 for the Xiaomi 17T; launch dates do not confirm present stock or current pricing.

Which one should you choose?
- Choose the OnePlus Nord 6 if the higher listed refresh rate, larger stated battery, higher listed charging wattage or its stated update eligibility matter most to you.
- Choose the Xiaomi 17T if you want a dedicated periscope telephoto camera, or if its price is more attractive for the storage configuration you would actually buy.
- Compare live listings before choosing on price. The available snapshots do not establish a dependable price difference between equivalent phones.
Neither set of manufacturer specifications proves an overall winner in battery life, camera quality or performance. The practical decision is whether the Nord 6’s published battery and display figures or the Xiaomi 17T’s dedicated telephoto better fits your priorities, after checking a current, equivalent listing.
