XGIMI MemoMind One Review: What to Know About Its Waveguide Smart Glasses

The XGIMI MemoMind One puts translation, notifications and other glanceable tools in a monochrome waveguide display. Here’s what its features, fit and reported limitations mean for buyers.

The XGIMI MemoMind One is a camera-free pair of smart glasses built for brief, glanceable information: notifications, translation, captions, directions and prompts. Its binocular green waveguide displays and open-ear audio make it a different kind of device from camera glasses or immersive video headsets. The concept is promising, but monochrome visuals, reported difficulty reading the display against a bright sky, and mixed audio impressions are real trade-offs.

What the MemoMind One is—and what it is not

MemoMind, an AI hardware brand incubated by XGIMI, positions the One as an AI and notification assistant you wear like glasses. It has no camera. Instead, two green Micro-LED displays project text and simple interface elements through binocular waveguide optics, while open-ear speakers and three microphones support audio and voice interaction. The manufacturer’s product page describes the hardware and functions at MemoMind’s official product page.

That makes the One unlike camera-equipped glasses intended to capture photos or video, and unlike video glasses designed to show immersive, full-color content. Its display is intended for short information at a glance—not films, rich graphics or a broad spatial-computing experience. The word “leading” in the original headline is not a verified category ranking; the available evidence establishes the One as a notable waveguide model, not the market leader.

What is the display like?

MemoMind lists a 640 × 350 resolution for each near-eye display, a 25-degree field of view, a 30 Hz refresh rate and brightness of 2,000 nits. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independently measured results. The display is green and monochrome, so expect text and interface graphics rather than full-color images.

In hands-on coverage, TechRadar’s reviewer said green text was difficult to read against a bright sky, even at maximum brightness. That is one reviewer’s observation, not a controlled test across lighting conditions, but it is relevant if you expect to use directions or notifications outdoors. Android Central also describes the display as monochrome. Neither source establishes a universal brightness or legibility threshold. See the reviewers’ accounts from TechRadar and Android Central.

Which features are included, and what costs extra?

MemoMind says the One’s eight core AI features are included without a subscription. The advertised functions cover question answering, translation, recordings and summaries, live captions, a teleprompter, maps, calendar and to-do functions, and idea notes. The experience depends on the companion app, available for iOS and Android.

The company’s September 30, 2026 update says live two-way translation supports 53 languages, a newer figure than the product page’s 26-language listing. Language support may depend on software rollout or firmware, so check the current app and product information for what is available to you. The same dated update describes RSS feed management, BLE smart-ring connections and other devices using standard HID, adjustable audio pickup modes, up to four lines of notifications, two-way calendar sync and added privacy controls. These are company-announced features, not independent tests of every supported accessory or function. Read the September 30, 2026 MemoMind announcement.

How do navigation, audio and everyday use hold up?

Android Central’s hands-on reviewer found notifications, audio recording and real-time translation useful, and liked the fit and finish. The reviewer said navigation requires entering a destination in the MemoMind app and is suited to walking or cycling. That means the glasses are not a substitute for setting up a route on your phone, and the described use case is not turn-by-turn guidance for driving.

TechRadar’s 48-hour hands-on review describes notification popups, calendar and map directions, a teleprompter, translation subtitles and frame speakers. Its reviewer criticized music sound quality. These are individual hands-on impressions rather than standardized audio or navigation tests; a reviewer’s view of music playback may not predict how you will judge spoken prompts or calls. The manufacturer identifies the speakers as Harman open-ear audio and lists three microphones, but those specifications do not establish sound quality in every setting.

Does it have a camera, and what does that trade-off mean?

No: MemoMind One is camera-free. That can suit people who prefer not to wear a device capable of taking photos or recording video, and it avoids making image capture part of the product’s core purpose. The corresponding limitation is that you cannot use it for glasses-based photography or video capture. TechRadar’s reviewer considered the missing camera a significant utility trade-off; whether it is a drawback depends on what you want smart glasses to do.

Will the frames fit, and can you use prescription lenses?

The manufacturer lists three frame styles—Nomad, Archive and Gotham—with customizable color options. It says the One supports ZEISS prescription lenses; the current Standard product page specifies single-vision distance prescriptions. Before ordering, confirm that your prescription is eligible and ask the seller about any limits not covered by that description.

MemoMind warns that custom prescription lenses cannot be changed, canceled or returned once production begins. Review the seller’s current terms and your prescription details before submitting a custom order. The product page also lists a compatible sunglasses clip-on, but some deposit holders may receive one automatically. Check your own order details rather than assuming it is included or buying a separate clip-on without verification. Frame and lens information is on the MemoMind One Standard page.

How heavy is it, and what is the battery life?

MemoMind lists the One at 46.6 g and estimates more than 16 hours of mixed-use battery life on its product page, accessed October 7, 2026. In its June 29, 2026 order announcement, the company said battery life could reach up to 16 hours under standard usage. These are manufacturer estimates; the available evidence does not include controlled independent battery measurements. Actual runtime will depend on use and conditions.

Android Central’s reviewer also reported a weight of 46 g and said the fit and finish were good. That is a hands-on observation, not a fit guarantee for every face. The reviewer noted that the Even Realities G2 is lighter, but the available sources do not support a comprehensive comparison of smart-glasses models.

MemoMind announced official order availability on June 29, 2026. In its September 30, 2026 announcement, it said the Standard Edition was available on its site at a $599 list price, with a $399 promotion. Check the live checkout price, shipping location, delivery estimate and return terms before ordering. The June order announcement is available from XGIMI / MemoMind via PR Newswire APAC.

What is planned for developers?

On September 1, 2026, MemoMind named KiWear its first SDK ecosystem partner and described Bluetooth protocol access. On September 30, the company said developer tooling was available and that an App Workspace closed beta would enter testing in October. These are dated company statements; they do not establish that the beta is broadly available now or that third-party accessories have been independently tested. See the September 1 developer announcement and the September 30 update.

Who should consider the MemoMind One?

The One is most compelling if you want a discreet, camera-free way to glance at text and use spoken or displayed assistance without taking out your phone. Its announced features cover translation, captions, notes, navigation, recording and teleprompter prompts, and the company says its eight core AI functions do not require a subscription.

It is a weaker fit if your priority is a camera, full-color visuals, immersive video, reliably readable text in bright outdoor conditions or high-quality music playback. When comparing it with other glasses, distinguish monochrome waveguide models from camera glasses and video-oriented displays; also compare fit and prescription options, visibility, battery, audio, interaction, subscription requirements and current price. The available evidence does not support a ranked market comparison.
