The F36 is the budget-conscious option, with a larger display and a stated six-generation Android upgrade commitment; the X300 FE costs substantially more for a compact design and higher-tier listed hardware, including a dedicated telephoto camera and faster wired charging. Choose by the features you will use and the exact variant price—not by treating these as evenly matched phones.

The listed specifications describe features, not comparative test results. No independent benchmark, battery-endurance test, charging-time test or camera shootout is established here. vivo’s 5000-nit figure is a local peak-brightness claim; its launch material says it is based on internal laboratory tests, dated its comparative brightness statement 6 May 2026, and notes actual performance can vary.

Which phone has the better display for you?
The F36 has the larger screen: Samsung lists a 6.7-inch panel, versus 6.31 inches on the X300 FE. That makes the F36 the more natural choice if screen area is the priority. The X300 FE is the compact option, and its listed resolution is 2640 × 1216. Both are listed as 120 Hz AMOLED-family displays, but the size and resolution figures alone do not establish which will look better to a particular viewer.
How do performance, cameras and battery compare?
Processor and memory
On paper, the X300 FE is in a higher specification tier: it lists a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, up to 12 GB RAM, and up to 512 GB storage, compared with the F36’s Exynos 1380 and launch configurations of up to 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. That is a hardware distinction, not proof of a specific real-world speed difference; no comparable performance test is available here.

Rear and front cameras
The clearest camera hardware distinction is the X300 FE’s dedicated 50 MP OIS telephoto camera. The F36’s listed rear setup combines a 50 MP OIS main camera with ultra-wide and macro cameras. vivo also lists a 50 MP autofocus front camera, while the comparison listing gives the F36 a 13 MP front camera. Megapixel counts and camera specifications do not, by themselves, establish image quality or which phone takes better photos.
Battery and charging
vivo lists a higher battery capacity—6,500 mAh typical and 6,350 mAh minimum rated—and 90 W wired FlashCharge, compared with the F36’s 5,000 mAh battery and 25 W charging. vivo says maximum charging power requires its original adapter and cable and can vary with use. These manufacturer-listed figures do not establish actual battery life or charging time.

What software support and durability are established?
Samsung states that the F36 receives six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security updates. vivo lists Android 16 and OriginOS 6 for the X300 FE, but the specifications reviewed do not establish an equivalent support-duration promise. That leaves a documented support-duration difference in the available information, not proof that vivo has no update policy.
Samsung specifies Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection for the F36; 91mobiles lists a vegan-leather rear. vivo lists a glass back and IP68/IP69 ratings. Those ratings should not be read as an unconditional waterproof guarantee: vivo’s launch material describes controlled testing conditions.

- Galaxy S23 sports a 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X flat display with adaptive 48–120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and a peak brightness high enough for strong outdoor visibility — giving you vibrant, crisp visuals and smooth motion while staying compact.
Which should you buy?
Choose the Samsung Galaxy F36 5G if
- You want to spend substantially less and a current seller price for your preferred configuration fits your budget.
- You prefer a larger 6.7-inch display.
- Samsung’s stated six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security updates are important to your purchase.
- The listed everyday camera mix meets your needs and you do not specifically need a dedicated telephoto camera.
Choose the vivo X300 FE if
- You are prepared to pay a much higher price for its compact 6.31-inch form factor.
- You value the higher-tier listed processor, RAM and storage options.
- You want a dedicated telephoto camera, a higher listed battery capacity or faster wired charging.
- You are choosing based on those specifications while recognizing that they are not substitutes for comparative camera, speed or endurance tests.
Before deciding, compare the exact RAM/storage variants and live prices from the seller you intend to use. These phones serve different budgets; the F36 is the lower-cost, larger-screen choice, while the X300 FE is the premium compact option with more ambitious listed hardware.
