WPBeginner’s September 30, 2026 roundup reports that WPVibe passed 40,000 active installs on September 23—not 50,000. It also highlights WPVibe’s multi-site update management, a new WPForms dashboard, and two WordPress security releases: 7.1.1 and 7.1.2.
WPVibe’s reported milestone is 40,000 active installs
The roundup attributes the figure to WPBeginner, which says WPVibe reached 40,000 active installs on September 23, 2026, two weeks after reaching 20,000. The roundup’s headline reference to 50,000 is not supported by its own account; the 40,000 figure is the one it reports. What WPVibe Fleet Management is described as doing
WPBeginner describes WPVibe as a free WordPress MCP plugin that connects a WordPress site to AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor. Its new Fleet Management feature is aimed at people responsible for multiple WordPress sites: they can ask which sites have pending updates and run updates across them through a chat interface.

These are the roundup’s descriptions; they have not been independently verified here. The source does not state a supported site limit, so the feature’s capacity across larger fleets is not established.

WPForms adds a dashboard for form activity
WPForms announced its dashboard on September 17, 2026. It brings form entries, payments, form views, visitor locations, and suggested actions together in a single WordPress admin screen. WPForms’ dashboard announcement
WPBeginner’s account says the dashboard also shows site-wide totals for forms, entries, payments, views, and spam; an entries feed with per-form activity and conversion rate; payment totals; top visitor locations; and suggestions for add-ons and integrations. It opens from the WPForms admin menu. WPBeginner reports that the dashboard is included with all plans, including WPForms Lite. The vendor announcement supports the feature description; plan inclusion is reported by WPBeginner.

WordPress 7.1.1: bug fixes and security patches
WordPress announced version 7.1.1 on September 17, 2026. The release includes 17 core bug fixes, 19 block-editor bug fixes, and 11 security fixes. WordPress recommends updating promptly and says security fixes were being backported as needed to supported security branches through WordPress 4.7. WordPress 7.1.1 release announcement
WordPress 7.1.2: one critical-severity vulnerability
Announced September 22, 2026, WordPress 7.1.2 addresses one critical-severity vulnerability. The release says that, under conditions involving the server environment and active theme, an unauthenticated attacker could cause page-template resolution to include a chosen readable local PHP file outside the active theme directories, potentially leading to remote code execution. The release describes specific prerequisites; it does not establish that every WordPress installation or configuration was vulnerable.

The two releases are software updates, not new security devices. If automatic updates are disabled, WPBeginner recommends making a full backup before updating. Then apply the appropriate WordPress update through your normal maintenance process and verify that the site and its key functions work afterward.
