Carrie (October 7): supernatural horror with a modern bullying setup
Amazon UK describes Carrie White, played by Summer H. Howell, as a sheltered high-school student whose father’s death leads her into public school. It may suit horror viewers curious about a longer-form adaptation of Stephen King’s 1974 debut novel, especially with the story’s bullying and social-media-age pressures. The series is an adaptation, not established as a scene-for-scene remake. Reading King’s Carrie is an optional way to explore the source material, not a prerequisite.

Love of Your Life (October 14): romance shaped by grief and change
Starring Margaret Qualley as Maya and Gabriel Basso as Charlie, the film follows Maya into an unexpected new life after her future with Charlie is upended, according to Amazon UK. Tom’s Guide describes a love story stretching across years and places, with grief and personal change at its center. That makes it a more natural fit for viewers seeking emotional romantic drama than a conventional rom-com.
Masterplan (October 16): a family caper targeting the Mona Lisa
Stanley Tucci plays a master thief who brings his adult children into a plan to steal the Mona Lisa. Tom’s Guide identifies the trio as Roger, Chiara and Jay, and describes the film as an English-language Franco-Italian co-production shot across France and Italy. Its appeal is the playful art-theft premise and lighter heist-comedy tone, rather than any established claim about critical or audience reception.
