Windows 11 does not list a Magnifier command called “Lock View.” To switch Magnifier views, press Ctrl+Alt+M to cycle through them, or use Ctrl+Alt+F for full-screen, Ctrl+Alt+L for lens, and Ctrl+Alt+D for docked view. To move an active app to another monitor, use Windows key+Shift+Left/Right arrow—a separate window-management shortcut.

Is there a Magnifier “Lock View” shortcut?

Microsoft’s current Windows accessibility shortcut list does not name a Magnifier feature or shortcut called “Lock View.” Its listed controls let you choose or cycle Magnifier views and pan the view; they are not documented as a control that locks Magnifier to one display.

If by “lock” you mean locking the PC, press Windows key+L. That locks Windows, not Magnifier’s view.

Move an app between monitors

To send the active app or window to another display, press Windows key+Shift+Left arrow or Windows key+Shift+Right arrow, depending on the display’s position. Microsoft lists this under general Windows keyboard shortcuts, separately from Magnifier controls. It moves the window; it is not a Magnifier view-lock command.

What the three Magnifier views do

  • Full-screen: Magnifier enlarges the screen view.
  • Lens: Magnifier uses a movable lens over the screen.
  • Docked: Magnifier displays an enlarged region in a docked area.

Microsoft’s shortcut documentation names these views but does not specify how each behaves across multiple displays or recommend one as a multi-monitor lock. Use the direct shortcut for the view you want, then test navigation on your Windows build rather than assuming the view is confined to, or spans, a particular monitor.
