Yes. Windows 11 lets you turn Efficiency mode off for an individual process in Task Manager, so you can leave it enabled for other processes. Open Task Manager > Processes, right-click the process, and toggle Efficiency mode.
What Efficiency mode does
Windows Task Manager’s Efficiency mode limits resources used by a process or process group when Windows detects high CPU use. Microsoft describes it as a way to help active processes stay responsive while reducing background CPU priority, with potential benefits such as longer battery life and less thermal noise. These are intended effects, not guaranteed results for every PC.

Turn Efficiency mode off for one process

Open Task Manager and select Processes.

Find the process you want to prioritize. If it is inside a group, expand the group to see its individual processes.

Right-click the process and select Efficiency mode to toggle it off. When it is off, the green double-leaf status icon disappears.

Use the same context-menu control to turn the mode back on later. Microsoft’s instructions describe changing the setting for a selected process; most process groups cannot be switched on or off as a group.
When the process appears in a group
Expand the group and check the individual process entries. Where the control is available, change Efficiency mode for the particular process that needs more headroom rather than changing unrelated processes. If the group itself does not offer a toggle, that is expected: Microsoft says most groups cannot be controlled as a whole.

Windows Efficiency mode is not Edge energy saver
Task Manager’s Efficiency mode is a Windows control for process resource use. Microsoft Edge has a separate energy-saver feature controlled in Edge settings. Changing the Windows process setting does not switch Edge’s feature off, and changing Edge’s setting does not toggle Task Manager Efficiency mode. Removing the limit may help a specific process that is being constrained, but it will not necessarily fix lag or improve overall system performance. Microsoft warns that Efficiency mode may cause instability for certain processes, but its guidance does not quantify the performance, battery, or temperature change users should expect. Change only the process you have a reason to prioritize, then check whether the application behaves better.
