“Windows 10 tips” is a general term for instructions that help people use, customize, troubleshoot, or understand Windows 10. It is not the formal name of a Windows feature. The phrase also has a timely support caveat: Microsoft ended support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025.
What does “Windows 10 tips” mean?
It usually means practical how-to guidance for the operating system. Depending on the subject, a tip might explain navigation, settings, personalization, accessibility, file handling, troubleshooting, or security. These are ordinary categories of instructional content, not an official Microsoft classification.

Microsoft once used “tips” in the name of a built-in Tips app. In an April 10, 2017 Windows Experience Blog post, the company described the app as a place to find tips, tricks, and information about Windows updates. Can you still use Windows 10?
Yes. Microsoft says Windows 10 PCs continue to function after support ends. The end of support is not an automatic shutdown or a sign that the computer will immediately stop working.

For Windows 10 22H2 and the editions covered by Microsoft’s lifecycle announcement, support ended on October 14, 2025. Microsoft says unsupported devices no longer receive regular software and feature updates, security updates and fixes, or technical support. Lifecycle details can differ for specialized editions, versions, or extended-support programs. The general date above should not be taken as a complete statement about every Windows 10 configuration.

What should Windows 10 users do next?
If continued Microsoft security updates and support matter to you, check whether your PC is compatible with Windows 11. Microsoft recommends moving to Windows 11 on compatible devices; not every Windows 10 PC is eligible. If your device is not compatible, consider what supported-device option suits your needs. The appropriate path depends on compatibility, upgrade or replacement cost and effort, and whether the PC is managed for personal or organizational use.
