Samsung has not announced a Galaxy Note revival or given a return date in the materials available through October 7, 2026. For a Samsung phone with a stylus today, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is the practical current option: it supports an S Pen, but it is not a Note-branded successor and does not reproduce every Note-era pen feature.
Has Samsung confirmed a Galaxy Note return?
No. Samsung’s February 25, 2026 announcement introduced the Galaxy S26 series, not a revived Galaxy Note. Its 2026 first-quarter interim report lists the S26 Ultra’s 6.9-inch display, but neither document establishes plans for a separate Note device. The evidence supports calling a return unconfirmed—not claiming Samsung has ruled it out or will bring it back.

Samsung executives have discussed continued work on S Pen technology, but those comments do not amount to a Note launch announcement. In a July 22, 2026 interview reported by Tom’s Guide, Samsung EVP HS Moon said the company continued to explore ways to incorporate a digitizer and S Pen into a slimmer form factor. The remarks concerned stylus technology and foldable design priorities; Moon did not announce a Note-branded phone or schedule.
Android Authority reported on February 27, 2026, that Samsung MX COO Won-Joon Choi told Bloomberg the S Pen would remain one of Samsung’s “core” technologies and that the company was working on a more advanced S Pen structure. That is evidence of interest in developing the technology, not confirmation of which device might use it, what it would be called, or when it might arrive.

What can Note users buy now?
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is the clearest current Samsung choice for someone who wants a phone with S Pen support. Samsung’s U.S. compatibility guide lists it alongside the S25 Ultra, S24 Ultra, S23 Ultra and S22 Ultra, as well as the Note10 and Note20. Treat the S26 Ultra as a practical alternative for stylus use—not as a renamed Note or an officially designated successor.
Samsung’s 2026 first-quarter interim report gives the S26 Ultra a 6.9-inch display. That specification may help readers comparing screen sizes, but it does not establish a complete comparison with older Note models. The available official materials also do not settle current price, retailer stock, pen bundle details in every market, or every model’s pen-storage arrangement. Check those details for your country and purchase date.

Does the S26 Ultra S Pen have all the old Note features?
No. Samsung says the Galaxy S26 Ultra S Pen does not support Bluetooth functionality or Air Actions. If you relied on remote shutter controls or gesture-based commands, compare the exact phone and pen feature list before upgrading; S Pen compatibility does not guarantee identical capabilities across devices.

What should owners of older Galaxy Notes check?
Android Authority reported on September 4, 2025, that the Galaxy Note20 and Note20 Ultra received their final security update—the August 2025 patch—and were no longer on Samsung’s update list. This is a dated report, not a live status check for every regional model. Before buying or continuing to rely on an older Note as a primary phone, check Samsung’s current support information for your exact model and region.
