Yes—Fable is confirmed for PlayStation 5, with an official release date of February 23, 2027. The game’s FAQ mentions 30 fps and 60 fps options, but does not say which applies to PS5 or PS5 Pro. No reviewed source confirms a PS5 Pro enhancement, resolution target, or platform-specific performance mode, so there is not yet a reliable basis for comparing the two consoles.
What is confirmed for PS5
The official Fable FAQ lists PlayStation 5 among the launch platforms and gives February 23, 2027 as the release date. Fable is unreleased, so claims about actual PS5 frame rates, resolution, image quality, or stability cannot yet be based on gameplay testing.

The FAQ’s technical section says: “You will have the option to play at both 30 and 60 fps. We will have more detail to share on this as we approach launch.” It does not specify which platforms receive each option, whether both options are available on PS5, or what resolution or visual settings they use.

No reviewed official source specifies a dedicated PS5 Pro mode, patch, resolution advantage, or other enhancement for Fable. There is also no confirmed PS5-versus-Pro comparison for frame-rate stability, resolution or upscaling, image quality, or ray tracing. Until platform-specific details are published, a Pro advantage should be treated as unknown—not assumed.

Why Xbox performance reports do not answer the PS5 question
A September 16, 2026 TechRadar report from Gamescom says Playground confirmed a 60 fps performance mode for Xbox Series X. That confirmation is specific to Xbox Series X; it does not establish the frame-rate options or settings on either PlayStation console. Do not transfer Xbox specifications to PS5 or PS5 Pro.
Playground Games associate game director Craig Littler told TechRadar that the studio wants the game to look good and be appropriate for the platform. That describes a general approach, not a PS5 Pro performance specification.

What to look for in the next performance update
The key missing detail is not simply whether Fable offers a 60 fps option. Players need to know which PlayStation models receive each mode and what trade-offs come with them. A useful platform-specific announcement would identify:
- Which of PS5 and PS5 Pro support 30 fps and 60 fps modes, and whether either console has additional choices.
- The resolution target and any upscaling method for each mode.
- What visual features change between modes, including image quality and ray tracing, if applicable.
- Whether a dedicated Pro enhancement exists and how performance behaves during play.
The current official FAQ says more detail on the 30 and 60 fps options will come closer to launch; it does not yet provide those PlayStation-specific answers.

Physical PS5 edition
The official FAQ confirms a physical Standard Edition and directs buyers to local retailers. That confirms a disc format, but not a particular retailer’s listing, stock, or regional availability.
