Apple has already raised prices on some devices in 2026, and component costs remain a pressure point. But the available reporting does not confirm another Apple price increase before March 2027. Treat another hike as a possibility—not an announced plan—and decide whether to buy based on the price of the exact model and configuration you need.
What has Apple raised prices on in 2026?
The Associated Press reported US price increases affecting Macs and iPads in June 2026, followed by separate September coverage of changes across iPhone models. Those are reported changes that have already occurred; they do not establish that another increase is coming.

Why could prices face more pressure?
Memory, storage and semiconductor costs
Apple’s Form 10-Q for the quarter ended March 28, 2026 described “a period of supply constraints and increasing costs” for components, including advanced semiconductors, NAND storage and DRAM memory. That filing establishes cost pressure, not a decision to pass a particular cost on to buyers. Apple Inc., Form 10-Q, 2026.
Apple’s explanation for the June changes
In AP’s June 25 report, Apple attributed the pressure to AI data-center demand for memory and storage, saying: “The rapid expansion of AI data centers has created an extraordinary surge in demand for memory and storage. We have never seen a component price increase this much, this quickly.” Apple also said, “We know this is not welcome news, and we are working tirelessly to find solutions.” These comments explain the company’s stated cost concerns; they do not announce future consumer prices. The Associated Press, June 25, 2026.

TSMC’s planned supplier-price changes
MacRumors reported in July 2026 that TSMC planned price increases of up to 10% for 2027. This is reporting about a supplier’s prices, not an Apple retail-price policy. A supplier increase does not translate directly into the same percentage increase on an iPhone, Mac or other device. MacRumors, 2026.
Is another hike confirmed before March 2027?
No verified announcement in the cited reporting confirms a further Apple retail-price increase before March 2027. The timing, products, regions and amounts of any possible change are unknown. Existing price increases and higher component costs give buyers reason to watch prices, but they do not prove another hike will happen. Nor does the lack of an announcement guarantee that prices will stay the same.

Should you buy an iPhone or Mac now?
Do not buy solely because you expect an unconfirmed price increase. Compare the exact model and configuration you want, its current price in your region, and whether the device already reflects a reported repricing. Then weigh that price against how soon you need the device: if you need it now and the current price works for you, the confirmed utility of buying now matters more than an uncertain forecast; if you can wait, monitor the price rather than treating a hike as certain.
