If your FiveM server is missing from the public browser, check it in this order: verify that port 30120 is reachable from the internet on both TCP and UDP, confirm that sv_licenseKey is valid and used by only one running instance, and make sure sv_master1 is commented out. Those three faults account for most missing listings. Only after they pass should you investigate query errors, slot limits, client filters, registration delay, or outdated server artifacts.
Start with an outside-network test
A test made on the server itself does not prove that other players can reach it. Local traffic can bypass the router, NAT rule, and public firewall that control internet access. Use a computer on another connection or a phone with Wi-Fi disabled and mobile data enabled.

- Find the server’s public address and open
http://server-address:30120/info.jsonin a browser from that separate network. - Interpret the result. A JSON response indicates that the HTTP side of the endpoint is reachable. A timeout, connection refusal, or an unreachable page means you should fix networking before changing listing settings.
- Repeat the test after every firewall or forwarding change. Testing from the host machine alone is not a valid substitute.
The info.json check does not by itself prove that every query path is healthy, but a failed check is a strong indication that the server cannot be reached from outside.
Make port 30120 reachable on both protocols
FiveM server listings depend on the endpoint being accessible through port 30120. You need separate rules for TCP and UDP; opening only one protocol leaves the server partially unreachable and can prevent reliable registration.

Home-hosted server
- Give the host computer a stable address on the local network, either with a DHCP reservation or a static address.
- In the router’s port-forwarding page, forward external port
30120to that computer’s internal address and port30120using TCP. - Create a second forwarding rule for external port
30120to the same internal address and port using UDP. - Permit inbound TCP 30120 and inbound UDP 30120 in the operating system firewall. On Windows, these are separate inbound rules; creating a TCP rule does not automatically create the UDP rule.
- Run the outside-network
info.jsontest again.
Double-check that the forwarding target is the current server machine. A changed private address can silently send traffic to the wrong computer. Also check whether the internet service uses carrier-grade NAT; in that situation, a router rule may not expose the host at all, and the provider must supply a reachable public address or an alternative hosting arrangement.
VPS or dedicated host
A virtual server normally does not need a home-router rule, but it can still be blocked by the provider’s network firewall, security group, or local firewall. Permit inbound TCP and UDP 30120 at every layer, then test from an unrelated network. A rule in only the operating-system firewall is insufficient if the provider firewall still drops the packets.

The endpoint declarations should use the same port you opened externally. If your configuration declares a different port, either change the declarations or forward the declared port consistently. Do not open random additional ports as a substitute for matching the configured endpoint.
Validate the Cfx.re license key
A missing, expired, invalid, or reused sv_licenseKey can stop a server from registering with the master server. Keys are issued through the Cfx.re keymaster portal.

Check the configuration
- Open the configuration file that the running instance actually loads, rather than an unused template or backup.
- Confirm that it contains one
sv_licenseKeyentry with the complete key value and no accidental comment marker, extra quotation mark, or trailing characters. - Restart the server and watch the console for license or authentication errors.
Use one license key for one running server instance. Do not copy the same key into multiple live configurations. If a key has been exposed publicly, replace it through the key-management service and update the instance that should use the replacement.
Keep sv_master1 commented out
The sv_master1 setting has an easily missed failure mode. When the line is uncommented, Cfx.re treats the server as private: it can appear as private in the browser and the normal connect button is disabled. That looks like a listing problem even though the process is running.
Open the active configuration and ensure the setting remains commented, for example:

Read the console for master-server query errors
Once reachability, licensing, and sv_master1 are correct, inspect the startup and runtime console. Messages about master-server queries, registration, or an inability to determine the listing address indicate that the server can run locally but is failing on the path that publishes its information.
Try an explicit listing address only when the console points there
One community troubleshooting report says that setting sv_listingIPOverride to the server’s public IP address together with port 30120 resolves query errors in many cases. This is a secondary, single-source recommendation rather than a universally documented requirement. Use it only when the console shows an address-detection or master-query problem, and set it to the actual public endpoint seen from the internet, not the machine’s private LAN address.

Do not confuse txAdmin access with the game endpoint
Some troubleshooting guides also suggest opening TCP port 40120 for txAdmin. That port is used for the administration interface and is not a replacement for the public FiveM endpoint on 30120. Expose it only if your administration setup requires remote txAdmin access, and protect it with appropriate authentication and firewall restrictions.

Check slot settings and edition limits
A single hosting guide reports that servers configured above 48 slots require a paid Cfx.re tier and recommends setting sv_maxclients to 48 or lower when that tier is not enabled. The claim and the exact tier rules were not confirmed in the available official material, so verify the current entitlement for your account before treating it as definitive.

If the server returns, investigate the applicable Cfx.re plan rather than assuming that a network change caused the outage.
Remove client-side causes after the server is healthy
Clear restrictive browser filters
The FiveM browser can hide a listed server when filters are too narrow. Clear region, language, tags, player-count, and other custom filters, then search by the exact server name. Test from a second client if possible so that a stale local browser state is not mistaken for a server-side failure.
Allow for registration propagation
One guide reports that a newly started server can take as long as eight minutes to appear. That timing is not an official guarantee. Treat it as a reasonable observation rather than a deadline: wait several minutes after a clean restart, but do not wait indefinitely when the external endpoint test fails or the console reports registration errors.
Consider artifact age only after the fundamentals pass
Outdated server artifacts can fail to register correctly. Search summaries have claimed that the master server no longer accepts registrations from old artifacts, but the claim lacks clear attribution and should be treated as low confidence. If your build is old, update it through the normal Cfx.re artifact channel, preserve a backup of the configuration and resources, restart, and then repeat the external endpoint and console checks. Updating should not replace the port, license, and sv_master1 checks because those remain the common causes.

Settings that are often blamed incorrectly
sv_endpointprivacy
One guide says sv_endpointprivacy hides connection details rather than hiding the server from the list. That interpretation is not confirmed by official documentation in the available material. If the server is completely absent, look for failed registration or master-query messages instead of assuming this setting is the cause. Treat it as a privacy choice to review after registration works, not as the first visibility fix.

A clean restart-and-verify procedure
- Stop the instance and back up its active configuration.
- Confirm TCP and UDP 30120 rules at the router or provider firewall and the operating-system firewall.
- Verify the key is present, valid, and not used by another running instance.
- Confirm
sv_master1is commented out. - Start the server and record any license, endpoint, or master-query errors exactly as shown.
- From a different network, load
http://server-address:30120/info.json. - If the endpoint works but query errors continue, test the public address configuration and the reported
sv_listingIPOverrideoption. - Set the client browser to broad, unfiltered search and allow a short propagation period.
- Only then investigate slot entitlements, artifact age, or privacy-related settings.
This order separates causes that prevent any internet access from causes that affect registration, and finally from causes that affect only one viewer’s browser. It also prevents a speculative setting change from masking a straightforward port or credential failure.
