WARDOGS’ Blue faction, Lonestar, has been losing far more often than the other two factions, according to figures attributed to the game’s developers. For Season 2, developer Bulkhead announced changes to Lonestar’s visibility and some spawn positions, plus temporary cash and XP incentives. The studio described the incentives as an experiment; the announcement does not show whether any of the changes improved win rates or player sentiment.
How large is Lonestar’s reported win-rate gap?
In an October 9, 2026 report, Rob Keyes attributed a stark split to WARDOGS’ developers: Lonestar won 10% of matches, compared with 40% for Red and 50% for Green. The same report said Lonestar’s rate had previously been around 20%. The coverage does not specify the match count, measurement period, treatment of draws, or calculation method, so these figures should be read as developer-reported numbers rather than independently audited statistics. Bulkhead’s official Season 2 preview confirms the direction of the imbalance, saying one faction had a “notoriously lower win rate than the other two,” but it does not give the percentages. Bulkhead’s Season 2 preview
Why does Bulkhead say players avoid Blue?
The preview names uniform visibility and some spawn positions as concerns the studio had been watching. It also points to player sentiment: Bulkhead says sentiment around Blue was the largest driver of players not wanting to play as Lonestar. That is the developer’s stated assessment, not a quantified breakdown of how much each factor contributed to match results or faction choice.

What is changing for Lonestar in Season 2?
Map and uniform adjustments
- Bakurani spawns: The preview says faction spawn positions on this map are being moved. It does not specify how far or in what direction.
- Less saturated uniforms: Lonestar’s uniforms are being desaturated, addressing the visibility concern. The preview does not quantify the visual change or its expected effect on gameplay.
Season-limited Lonestar incentives
For Season 2 only, Bulkhead announced cash and XP win bonuses and multipliers for Lonestar. These incentives are distinct from the map and uniform changes: they reward choosing or winning with the faction rather than changing its battlefield positions or appearance. The preview does not state the exact bonus amounts or how the multipliers are calculated.
A losing-team vendor discount
Bulkhead also announced a 20% vendor discount for whichever team is losing by at least 40 points against the team in second place. This rule is available to any team that meets the condition, not just Lonestar. It is separate from Lonestar’s Season 2-only cash and XP incentives.
What else is included in the preview?
Bulkhead also previewed adjustments to weapon damage, recoil, and suppression, alongside changes or improvements involving squad coordination, vehicles, controller responsiveness, progression, performance, bugs, and server stability. The announcement characterized full balance patch notes as forthcoming, so it does not provide a complete account of the final changes or their precise values.

There is no outcome evidence in the cited announcements and coverage. Bulkhead framed the incentive program as a social experiment to observe whether the measures affect Lonestar’s win rate and perception over time. Its preview does not establish how much any individual change will matter, and the scheduled Season 2 launch date reported on October 9 was October 15, 2026. Chris Jones Gaming’s launch-date report
