Why does Malwarebytes block sextb.net?
In its sextb.net detection entry, Malwarebytes says the domain was associated with riskware and that the site is used to promote potentially unwanted programs (PUPs), adware, and fraudulent sites. That is Malwarebytes’ characterization, not an independent forensic finding that every page or visit is malicious.

What does a “Website Blocked” notification mean?
Malwarebytes’ Windows v4 help page says Web Protection blocked a potentially harmful website and recommends scanning the device. The notification reports a blocked connection, not proof that malware was downloaded or installed.

What should you do after seeing the alert?
- Run a scan. Follow Malwarebytes’ recommendation to scan the device after the block notification.
- If the alert keeps returning after the scan, contact Support. Malwarebytes says Support can help isolate the source of a recurring block.
- If you think the classification is wrong, report it. Malwarebytes lists Support and its Forum as routes for reporting a suspected false positive. Use its false-positive reporting guidance.
- Allow-list only if you deliberately accept the risk. Malwarebytes’ detection entry describes an Allow List option. Adding the website removes that block for the listed site; it does not verify the site is safe.
Does a third-party scan prove sextb.net is malicious?
