What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
If viewers say your 24/7 mantra stream keeps buffering, first find out whether the problem is on the broadcast side or limited to particular viewers. Compare reports from different devices and networks, then check YouTube Live Control Room and encoder logs at the same times. A smooth local preview does not prove the public stream is healthy: the encoder’s feed to YouTube and YouTube’s delivery to each viewer are separate parts of the path.
First establish who is affected
Before changing settings, work out whether the symptom is isolated or shared. One viewer buffering does not by itself show that the broadcast is faulty; a device, app, browser, local Wi-Fi connection, or decoding limitation can cause playback trouble.

- Ask affected viewers when the pauses happened, including their time zone.
- Have one affected viewer try the public watch page on another device. If possible, also try the original device on a different connection.
- Compare reports. Trouble on one device points toward that device or its connection. Reports from viewers on unrelated networks at matching times make a broadcast or delivery issue more plausible.
- Record the viewer’s device, connection, selected player quality, whether audio or video stopped, and whether other viewers saw the same pause.
At those timestamps, note the YouTube stream-health indicator and any encoder messages about dropped frames or reconnects. Matching times help distinguish a recurring ingest problem from an isolated playback complaint. StreamNeo describes this separation of broadcaster, platform, and viewer paths in its 24/7 stream buffering guide; it is vendor guidance, not independent testing.

Open YouTube Live Control Room and inspect stream-health warnings. Then compare them with the encoder’s logs for the same period. Look for low or fluctuating bitrate, dropped frames, reconnects, an unsupported format, or keyframes arriving too infrequently.

- Low or unstable bitrate: The encoder may not be delivering enough data consistently. Check its output and the broadcaster’s upload path before raising bitrate.
- Dropped frames or reconnects: These suggest the encoder or its connection may not be delivering reliably. Confirm the timing in the logs and test the upload path.
- Format or configuration warning: Check the encoder settings against YouTube’s current requirements for the selected resolution and frame rate. YouTube’s live streaming error messages cover incoming-stream configuration problems.
- Keyframe warning: YouTube says, “Please use a keyframe frequency of four seconds or less. Currently, keyframes are not being sent often enough, which can cause buffering.” Check the encoder’s keyframe interval against that guidance.
YouTube’s developer documentation describes videoIngestionStarved as a case where YouTube is “not receiving enough video to maintain smooth streaming,” so viewers will experience buffering. Its LiveStream health status documentation also identifies bitrate, codecs, frame rate, and consistency between primary and backup streams as relevant configuration areas.
If you use primary and backup ingest, verify that the relevant settings match on both: resolution, codecs, bitrate, frame rate, and keyframe frequency. A mismatch can undermine the backup setup rather than provide a consistent alternative feed; YouTube lists these requirements in its error-message guidance.

Review latency for a non-interactive mantra stream
Lower latency can make live interaction feel more immediate, but it leaves less read-ahead buffer between the encoder and the viewer. For a mantra stream without live conversation or rapid audience interaction, check whether Low or Ultra-low latency is necessary. YouTube identifies Normal latency as the best choice when you do not plan to interact with the audience and says it has the lowest amount of viewer buffering.

See YouTube’s guidance on live streaming latency for the trade-offs between Normal, Low, and Ultra-low latency. Changing latency is not a guaranteed fix: first check whether the available evidence points to a viewer-side issue or an unstable incoming stream.
Test the broadcaster’s upload path only if the evidence points there
If encoder logs show network drops or unstable delivery, test the connection used by the broadcasting computer and consider whether the stream’s data demand is too close to that connection’s reliably available upload capacity. If the encoder is on Wi-Fi, a wired Ethernet connection is a reasonable comparison test. It will not fix playback trouble isolated to a viewer, or a platform delivery problem.

Investigate pauses that recur at the same point in the loop
If buffering repeatedly coincides with the same point in a recording or loop, compare the times with scene transitions, source-file changes, and encoder metrics. A repeatable timestamp is a clue to investigate, not proof that the file or loop is the cause. StreamNeo’s diagnostic article raises source and loop behavior as possibilities, but the cause for any particular channel needs to be confirmed from that channel’s evidence.
Or let it run in the cloud
If the issue is keeping a pre-recorded YouTube stream running, StreamNeo is a cloud option: upload your video or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops uploaded videos in the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. It can automatically recover if YouTube drops the stream. Uploaded quality streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot, with no re-encode or quality tiers. The first day is free with no card.
Every slot includes 10 GB of storage, pooled across active slots, 24/7 looping and playlists, and support from the StreamNeo team. StreamNeo streams to YouTube and plays uploaded videos; it does not go live from a camera. The monthly option is $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo or start the free first day.

What to do with the evidence
- If only one viewer is affected, focus first on that viewer’s device, app, browser, connection, and player quality.
- If several unrelated viewers report pauses at the same times, compare those timestamps with YouTube health messages and encoder logs.
- If the incoming stream shows problems, correct the indicated encoder setting or test the broadcaster’s upload path before making broader changes.
- If the incoming stream appears healthy but multiple viewers still report trouble, keep the viewer reports and timestamps; the cause is not established by a smooth local preview alone.
