Check Point completed its acquisition of Veriti Cybersecurity on June 9, 2025, for approximately $92.5 million. The strategic aim was to add automated, cross-vendor remediation to Check Point’s security portfolio: instead of only showing where an organization is exposed, Veriti can help apply protective controls across the tools already in use.

What Check Point acquired Veriti for

Check Point announced a definitive acquisition agreement on May 27, 2025. Veriti, founded in 2021, built a preemptive exposure-management platform intended to identify, prioritize, and remediate risk across fragmented enterprise security environments. Check Point framed the deal as a way to strengthen its Infinity Platform and its prevention-first, “open-garden” approach. Check Point’s announcement described the intended capabilities; its SEC filing records the completed transaction.

Veriti co-founder and CEO Adi Ikan described the product’s purpose as helping organizations remediate risk safely and at scale, rather than merely see it. In practical terms, that means connecting findings from security and exposure tools to controls that can reduce the exposure while a permanent fix, such as a software patch, is pending.

How Veriti is designed to reduce attack surface

Veriti’s approach is to use existing security products as both sources of exposure information and enforcement points. Check Point says the platform has an API-based architecture, requires no agents, and integrates with more than 70 security vendors. Its stated capabilities include:

  • Virtual patching across vendors: It can apply compensating protections based on vulnerability findings from tools such as CrowdStrike, Tenable, and Rapid7. This is intended to reduce the window of exposure while conventional patching is delayed; it is not a substitute for installing a vendor’s permanent software fix.
  • Threat-indicator enforcement: Veriti can verify indicators from connected tools and coordinate protections through firewalls, endpoint products, web application firewalls, and cloud platforms.
  • Cloud exposure response: Check Point says Veriti can ingest Wiz findings, including vulnerable or unpatched cloud servers and applications, and enable virtual patching through Check Point gateways or other vendors’ controls.
  • Context-aware controls: Before applying a remediation, the platform evaluates the exposure, configuration, and protections already in place. The stated goal is to reduce risk without disrupting operations.

These mechanisms target attack surfaces spread across cloud, datacenter, endpoint, and other connected environments. Their value depends on the organization’s integrations, policy choices, and ability to validate that a proposed control is safe for the affected workload.

What preemptive exposure management means

Exposure management links the discovery of weaknesses to action before attackers exploit them. It differs from an inventory or alerting workflow that stops after identifying a vulnerable asset: the intended loop is to find and prioritize an exposure, assess how it relates to existing protections, and then use an available control to mitigate it.

  1. Identify: Gather vulnerability, configuration, and threat information from connected security tools.
  2. Prioritize: Put findings in context, including existing protections and the affected systems.
  3. Mitigate: Apply a compatible protective rule or other compensating control where appropriate.
  4. Maintain: Keep the exposure under protection while teams address the underlying issue and confirm remediation.

“Preemptive” describes the intended timing and workflow, not proof that every vulnerability is automatically or safely fixed. Organizations still need change controls, testing, monitoring, and a plan to remove temporary protections when the underlying issue is resolved.

How Veriti fits into Check Point Infinity

At the time of the acquisition announcement, Check Point said Veriti’s capabilities would be integrated into Infinity as part of Threat Exposure and Risk Management, alongside External Risk Management. The point of the integration is to connect visibility and risk context with enforcement, including controls from vendors other than Check Point.

In January 2026, Check Point announced Exposure Management, powered by Cyberint, Veriti, and Check Point threat visibility. Check Point described the offering as bringing together threat intelligence, dark-web insights, attack-surface visibility, exploitability context, and automated remediation. This later product announcement shows how Veriti’s remediation role fits the broader offering; it does not establish independently measured customer outcomes.

What the acquisition cost—and what remains unproven

Check Point’s SEC filing records approximately $92.5 million in total consideration for the transaction, which closed June 9, 2025. That figure is the reported total consideration, not a recurring price or a per-customer cost.

The company and ChannelPro describe product capabilities and integration plans, but the cited materials do not provide independent statistics showing how much the acquisition reduced customers’ attack surfaces, shortened remediation times, or improved return on investment. The evidence supports describing what Veriti is designed to do, not claiming a measured security-performance result. When evaluating an exposure-management platform, buyers should compare remediation speed and automation, integration breadth, cloud and on-premises coverage, safeguards against operational disruption, and how threat intelligence connects to enforcement controls.
