A cropped page often points to a mismatch between the PDF’s page dimensions and the paper or print scaling; a blank page needs a separate check of the PDF, viewer, print service and printer. Comparing the same PDF in another app or device—and a different PDF from the Galaxy phone—can help narrow down where the failure occurs.
Check the print preview and page settings first
Open the PDF, choose the app’s Print command, select the intended printer and expand the available settings. Samsung says the print screen may offer paper size, color and orientation, with other options depending on the printer. Make sure the selected paper size matches the paper loaded in the printer, and correct the orientation if it is wrong. If the preview already shows content cut off, check page size, orientation and scaling before suspecting the printer. If the preview looks right but the printed sheet is cropped, check that the printer has the selected paper size loaded and consider its printable margins. These checks help isolate the issue; they do not identify a single guaranteed cause.

Look for a fit or scale setting
If the PDF app offers a fit-to-page or fit-to-printable-area setting, try it when content extends beyond the page edges. In Acrobat desktop, Adobe distinguishes Fit, which scales a page to the printable area, from Actual size, which prints without scaling and can crop content that does not fit the paper. Those are desktop Acrobat labels, not guaranteed options in a Galaxy phone’s print screen. Adobe’s Acrobat page-sizing guidance

Match the document to the paper
- Compare the paper size shown in the print settings with the paper actually loaded.
- Check whether portrait or landscape orientation matches the PDF page.
- Use a fit or scale option if available when the document is larger than the printable area.
- If only the paper output is cropped but the preview looks correct, check the printer’s paper feed and printable margins, or compare using another printer if available.
Find out why the page prints blank
A blank sheet alone does not reveal whether the problem is the PDF, the app, the Android print service or the printer. Make one controlled comparison at a time:
- Print a different PDF from the same Galaxy phone. If it works, the affected file or its interaction with the viewer may be involved.
- Open the affected PDF in another compatible viewer and try printing it. If it works there, the first app or its print path is a stronger suspect.
- Try the same PDF from another device, if available. If it prints there, focus on the phone’s app, print service or connection.
These comparisons are diagnostic, not guaranteed repairs. Adobe’s general troubleshooting guidance identifies the PDF or viewer and the printer connection or driver among possible areas to investigate; it does not determine which one is responsible for a particular Galaxy phone. If only one file fails, ask its sender for a fresh, authorized copy or to recreate it. Avoid changing or redistributing a document unless you have permission.
Check for PDF password or encryption restrictions
A protected PDF may be blocked from printing by the app or service. Samsung Print Service Plugin says it does not support encrypted or password-protected PDFs, and Adobe says Acrobat for Android cannot print password-protected PDFs. Samsung Print Service Plugin FAQs · Acrobat for Android Help

If you are authorized to print the document, ask its owner or sender for a print-ready copy, or use an app and supported print route that permits printing with the credentials you have been granted. Do not try to bypass its password or encryption controls.
Verify the print service and printer connection
On a Galaxy phone, Samsung’s US guide directs users to search Settings for Printing, enable an installed print service, or install a printer-specific plugin if needed. Many printers may work with Default Print Service; some require manual setup. Follow the requirements for the service you actually use, since connection support is not universal. For Samsung Print Service Plugin specifically, its FAQ says to check that the printer is supported and the service is enabled, then connect the phone and printer to the same wireless network or use supported Wi-Fi Direct. The FAQ says the plugin requires a Mopria-certified printer and does not support USB printing. Samsung’s general guide also describes USB printing with an OTG adapter for supported configurations; that does not mean every phone, printer or service supports USB printing.

When the printer is missing or the job stays queued
Printer discovery and stalled jobs are different from a PDF that prints with clipped content. Check that the printer is on and available, verify the selected service and connection method, then cancel a stuck job from the phone’s print notification or the printer’s panel if possible.

Samsung Print Service Plugin recommends clearing Print Spooler data when its printer is not detected. Android settings paths vary by version, and the FAQ includes older navigation, so find the current Print Spooler app settings on your device rather than relying on a legacy path. Clearing spooler data is a troubleshooting step for discovery or queue problems; it does not establish the cause of cropped pages.
