Werner is a ladder brand owned by ProDriven Global Brands, the corporate name adopted in 2024 by the company formerly known as WernerCo. ProDriven describes itself as privately owned, but its official materials do not name the ultimate owners. The company lists a manufacturing facility in Juárez, Mexico; that does not show where any particular Werner ladder was made. Check the product label or model documentation for an individual ladder’s country of origin.
Who owns the Werner ladder brand?
Werner’s official brand materials identify Werner as part of WernerCo. On August 5, 2024, WernerCo announced that it would use the corporate name ProDriven Global Brands. The company said the change left its brands and product offerings unchanged. ProDriven describes itself as privately owned, but the announcement does not identify its ultimate owners. In short, Werner is the brand; WernerCo is the name that appears in older company materials; and ProDriven Global Brands is the corporate name announced in 2024. The available company statements establish that relationship, not the names of the private owners.
Where are Werner ladders made?
ProDriven’s official U.S. locations page lists a manufacturing facility at Ave. Taguchi #251, Parque Industrial North Gate, Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico. This confirms a ProDriven manufacturing site in Juárez, but the listing does not say which Werner ladder models, if any, are produced there.

How to check a specific ladder
- Find the product label on the ladder and look for its country-of-origin marking.
- If the label is missing or unclear, check the packaging or documentation for the exact model.
- Do not assume a ladder was made in Mexico—or in the United States—based only on the brand or a company facility address.
The company’s public location information does not provide a current model-by-model manufacturing-origin list, so the exact ladder’s own marking is the useful evidence for its origin.

What does Werner make?
Werner’s company materials describe a portfolio that includes ladders as well as attic ladders, scaffolding, pump jacks, stages, planks, step stools, accessories, and fall-protection equipment. The company describes its ladder range as 2 to 60 feet; that is a broad company-wide range, not a promise that every length or configuration is currently available in every market. Werner’s company history in brief
In a 2022 company release, Werner said it was celebrating its 100th year and had “over 600 patents” at that time. The patent figure is a dated company statement, not a current patent count. Werner’s 2022 centennial release
