StreamNeo is the clearest fit if you want to change videos in a cloud-hosted, continuous YouTube live stream; Streamloop also advertises playlist editing and scheduled starts and stops. If you only want a regular YouTube video or playlist to repeat for viewers, YouTube’s built-in Loop control is enough—but it does not schedule changes to a live broadcast.
First, distinguish a playback loop from a live stream
On YouTube, “loop” can mean two different things. YouTube’s native control repeats a video or playlist someone is watching. A 24/7 live loop is a broadcast that plays uploaded videos as its source, often rotating through a playlist. Scheduling a broadcast to start or stop is different again from changing the video source while that broadcast is already live.

YouTube documents native repeat controls for computers, mobile devices, TVs, and gaming consoles in its Loop videos or playlists on YouTube help page. Those controls are for playback, not scheduling edits to a live stream.
Services and tools that fit each kind of change
| Option | What it is suited to | Important distinction |
|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Cloud-hosted, continuous YouTube streaming with looping playlists and content changes on a running stream. | Its guide explains how to update the playlist in an active slot; a brief stall during a handoff can still occur. |
| Streamloop | Cloud playlist management, advertised scheduled starts and stops, and playlist changes while streaming. | These are vendor-described features; the available information does not establish which service has the most flexible recurring daypart or weekly schedule. |
| Stream Loop Android app | Managing scheduled prerecorded video streaming from an Android phone. | The Google Play listing describes cloud streaming; check current regional availability, account requirements, and app terms. |
| YouTube native Loop | Repeating an existing YouTube video or playlist for ordinary playback. | It is not a live-stream scheduler or a tool for replacing content in an active broadcast. |
| YouTube Live Streaming API | Developer-built workflows for creating and managing broadcast events and stream configurations. | It is a software development route, not a turnkey consumer playlist scheduler. |

2. Streamloop: schedule starts and stops as well as playlist order
Streamloop describes a cloud studio for playlists, destinations, and stream scheduling, including scheduled starts and stops. Its product page also describes changing a playlist while a stream is running. Treat these as features advertised by the vendor, not independently verified uptime or quality results. The available information does not establish which service offers the most flexible recurring schedule for daypart or weekly content rotation, so check the current controls against your exact timetable.
3. Stream Loop: an Android-managed cloud option
The Stream Loop Android app listing says users can schedule prerecorded videos for cloud streaming without keeping their phone running. That is app-store/vendor description, not an independent assessment. Verify availability in your region, account requirements, and current terms before relying on it.

4. YouTube’s API: for developers building a scheduler
Google’s YouTube Live Streaming API reference documents resources for managing broadcasts and streams. Google’s guide to broadcasts and streams explains that a broadcast event and the stream configuration feeding it are separate resources, and describes binding them together. This distinction supports custom event-management workflows, but the documentation is not a ready-made interface for scheduling playlist edits in a running consumer service.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to choose the right workflow
- Just repeating a video or playlist people are watching? Use YouTube’s Loop control.
- Need a continuous live broadcast that plays uploaded videos? Compare cloud services that support looping and playlist changes.
- Need a stream to start and stop at chosen times? Confirm the service’s scheduling controls; Streamloop advertises scheduled starts and stops.
- Need to switch video while the same stream is live? Check the service’s active-playlist editing steps and whether a handoff pause is acceptable.
- Need a custom developer workflow? Review the Live Streaming API’s broadcast and stream resources.
Before committing to any service, verify its current price, storage allowance, supported resolution, recovery behavior, destination support, and exact scheduling controls. Those details can change, and a service advertising a scheduled start does not necessarily offer flexible recurring content rotations.
