The Razer HyperFlux V2 is a niche choice that makes the most sense if you already own one of its supported mice and want it to charge while you play. Razer lists both the hard and cloth versions at US$119.99 on its US store, while independent reviews flag the fixed cable, restricted compatibility and a reported 1,000 Hz polling limit as trade-offs. It is not a universal wireless-mouse charging mat.
What the HyperFlux V2 does
The HyperFlux V2 pairs a powered mouse mat with a dedicated puck installed in a compatible Razer mouse. Razer says the system charges the mouse while it is on the mat and automatically pairs it. The mat can also act as a receiver for supported Razer mice and selected keyboards; keyboard support is for connectivity, not charging. Razer also describes a battery indicator and charging-limit controls in Synapse. These are manufacturer claims, not independent performance measurements. The HyperFlux V2 requires its included dedicated puck. Razer’s FAQ says the Mouse Dock Pro puck is not interchangeable because it uses a different charging technology. Check the exact mouse model and puck before buying; support for one Razer mouse does not imply support for other wireless models. See Razer’s compatibility support page and its product FAQ.

Razer also lists certain BlackWidow and DeathStalker keyboards for receiver connectivity. This does not charge those keyboards, and the feature is model-specific.
Hard or cloth: which surface should you choose?
Razer positions the hard edition for smoother, quicker glides and the cloth edition for more controlled swipes. That is the manufacturer’s distinction; the available evidence does not include comparative surface measurements. Razer also describes a grooved rubber base and an LED charging indicator.

Those prices were listed on Razer’s US product pages on October 7, 2026; they are not guaranteed sale prices. PC Gamer reviewed the hard edition and praised its surface feel, but said it had not tested the cloth version, so its review is not a hands-on verdict on both surfaces.

Tom’s Hardware’s review, published August 22, 2026, found that the system works as intended with compatible wireless Razer mice, but criticized its fixed, non-detachable cable, price and 1,000 Hz polling limit. That polling figure is the review’s finding; it has not been independently verified here. If your setup depends on polling above 1,000 Hz, treat this as a significant compatibility concern and check the review’s conditions before deciding. Read Tom’s Hardware’s review.

PC Gamer’s October 28, 2025 review of the hard edition praised its integrated receiver and surface feel, while noting the narrow compatible-mouse list, non-replaceable surface, potentially awkward cable routing and roughly $120 cost. It is most compelling for someone who already has a listed compatible mouse, wants continuous charging, and values the integrated receiver enough to accept a dedicated puck and a single-mat setup. For that buyer, the main benefit is convenience rather than a demonstrated improvement in mouse performance.

Skip it if you want broad mouse compatibility, a cheaper charging solution, a replaceable surface or more flexible cable routing. The US$119.99 listing is a substantial outlay for avoiding occasional manual charging, and the review-reported 1,000 Hz limit may rule it out for some polling setups. Check Razer’s current compatibility information and store listing before purchase, since support and prices can change.
