Menu names and optional controls can differ by update; OPPO says its camera settings vary by model and ColorOS version.
Start with these camera settings
Use standard Photo mode for everyday shots
Begin in Photo mode for ordinary pictures. The F35 Pro 5G has a 50MP rear wide camera with f/1.8 aperture, autofocus and 2-axis optical image stabilization (OIS), alongside an 8MP f/2.2 rear ultra-wide camera with a 116-degree field of view. Its front camera is 50MP with a 100-degree field of view. OPPO lists rear modes including Photo, Video, Portrait, Night, Panorama, SLO-MO, Time-lapse, Hi-Res, Pro and document scanning; front modes include Photo, Video, Portrait, Night, Panorama, Dual-view, Time-lapse, Retouch, Screen Fill Light and Hi-Res.

For a wider group selfie, OPPO says tapping 0.6× opens the front ultra-wide view. On the rear camera, switch to the ultra-wide view when you need to fit more into the frame; use the main camera for general shots. Avoid assuming that every mode or control shown in a generic guide will appear on this handset.
Choose a framing ratio for the photo you want
Look for a ratio control in Photo mode. OPPO’s general camera guide describes 4:3, 1:1, full-screen and high-resolution photo options, but does not confirm that every option is available on the F35 Pro 5G. Try 4:3 as a conventional starting frame, then choose 1:1 or full-screen when it better suits the intended composition or display. A grid can help keep horizons and vertical lines aligned if that option is available.

Use HDR selectively for high-contrast scenes
When a scene contains bright sky and darker foreground, try HDR if the camera offers it. It is a general control rather than a confirmed F35 Pro-specific option. For portraits, Night mode or Portrait mode may be more relevant than changing the ratio; the available modes depend on the camera app build.
Choose video resolution and frame rate by use
OPPO lists rear video recording at 4K/30 fps and 1080p at either 60 or 30 fps. It also lists 4K EIS/OIS at 30 fps. The front camera supports 4K/30 fps and 1080p/30 fps, including 4K EIS at 30 fps. Stabilization availability depends on the listed mode and resolution.

There is no universally best choice: use 4K when detail or crop flexibility is important, and consider 1080p when it meets your needs. If you are recording while moving, check whether the selected camera and resolution provide stabilization. OPPO’s specifications do not quantify how these settings affect battery use or file size.
Find what is using the battery
The F35 Pro 5G has an 8000mAh/31.36Wh typical battery capacity and a 7780mAh/30.50Wh rated capacity, according to OPPO India. To identify avoidable drain, inspect usage by app before applying broad restrictions. OPPO’s generic guidance for ColorOS 14 and later gives this route:

Labels can differ on the current phone. Background activity can contribute to an app’s use, but restricting it may delay syncing or notifications. Check the app-level breakdown and consider whether timely alerts matter before limiting an app.
Use power-saving controls when the trade-off is worthwhile
Power Saving mode
Turn on Power Saving when extending runtime matters more than unrestricted background activity. OPPO’s general support guidance says it can restrict some background apps and auto-sync, reduce brightness and disable vibration. The exact controls and path vary, so search Settings for “Power Saving” or follow the labels on your build.

Smart Power Saver and app restrictions
OPPO’s support guidance also describes Smart Power Saver and custom app restrictions. These are general ColorOS features, not confirmation that the same toggles appear on every F35 Pro 5G software build. Use custom restrictions selectively: apps that need to sync or deliver timely notifications may not behave as expected when background activity is limited.

If battery endurance is the priority, leave High Performance Mode off when it is available. OPPO says the mode can increase power consumption and temperature and is offered only on selected devices; its presence on the F35 Pro 5G is not established. Do not spend time looking for a toggle if it is absent from your Settings.

The listed battery capacities distinguish typical from rated capacity; neither figure predicts a specific number of hours for an individual user.
