For travel, consider the smaller MX Anywhere 3S. Match the shape and controls to your hand and routine rather than treating any one model as right for everyone.
Which is the best Logitech mouse for you?
| Use | Model to consider | Why it may fit | Check first |
|---|---|---|---|
| Work and productivity | Logitech MX Master 4 | RTINGS names it its current work-category pick; the MX Master family offers an ergonomic shape, multi-device pairing, and separate horizontal and vertical scroll wheels. | Whether its size, features, and price suit your hand and workload. |
| Everyday computing | Logitech Signature M650 | Available in standard, large, and left-handed versions, with Bluetooth Low Energy or Logi Bolt connectivity. | Choose the right size and handedness, and confirm whether you need a receiver. |
| Wired gaming | Logitech G502 X | Gaming-oriented programmable controls and a dual-mode scroll wheel; PC Gamer selected it as its best wired gaming mouse in its 2026 guide. | Whether its gaming controls suit your other tasks; PC Gamer notes that its clicks can sound clunky. |
| Portable productivity | Logitech MX Anywhere 3S | RTINGS describes it as smaller, lighter, and more travel-oriented than the MX Master 3S. | Whether portability matters more than a larger shape and secondary scroll wheel. |
These are category-specific recommendations, not a single controlled ranking across all four models. The cited reviews and guides do not establish a same-lab comparison of every pick, so compare the dimensions that matter to you: task, hand fit, connectivity, portability, scroll behavior, programmable controls, and current local price.

Best Logitech mouse for work: MX Master 4
RTINGS’ 2026 Logitech roundup names the MX Master 4 its work pick. The MX Master family is designed around a broad, ergonomic productivity shape and pairs wirelessly with up to three devices using Bluetooth or a USB receiver. It has two scroll wheels, including one for horizontal scrolling—useful if your work involves wide spreadsheets, timelines, or other content that benefits from side-to-side navigation.

The MX Master 4 replaced the MX Master 3S in RTINGS’ work category in January 2026. RTINGS describes the newer model as somewhat more expensive, with refinements to the shape, more durable material choices, and a haptic shortcut button. That makes the 3S worth considering as an earlier-generation alternative if its price and features work for you, but it is not the roundup’s current default. RTINGS’ MX Master 3S review describes it as bulky and heavy and intended for productivity rather than gaming. Try to assess the shape against your hand size and grip before choosing either model.
#1 Best Overall
- Your hand can relax in comfort hour after hour with this ergonomically designed mouse. Its contoured shape with soft rubber grips, gently curved sides and broad palm area give you the support you need for effortless control all day long.
- You’ve got the control to do more, faster. Flipping through photo albums and Web pages is a breeze, especially for right-handers—with three standard buttons plus Back/Forward buttons that you can also program to switch applications, go full screen and more. And side-to-side scrolling plus zoom gives you the power to scroll horizontally and vertically through your music library, maps and Facebook feeds, and zoom in and out of photos and budget spreadsheets with a click.* * Requires Logitech SetPoint software (Windows) or Logitech Control Center software (Mac OS X)
- Two years of battery life practically eliminates the need to replace batteries. ** The On/Off switch helps conserve power, smart sleep mode extends battery life and an indicator light eliminates surprises. ** Battery life may vary based on user and computing conditions.
- The tiny Logitech Unifying receiver stays in your laptop. There’s no need to unplug it when you move around, so there’s less worry of it being lost. And you can easily add compatible wireless mice and keyboards to the same wireless receiver.
Everyday use: choose a Signature M650 that fits
The Signature M650 stands out for its fit options rather than specialized productivity or gaming controls. Logitech recommends the standard M650 for small-to-medium hands, the M650 L for large hands, and the M650 L Left for left-handed users. These are manufacturer recommendations, not a guarantee that a particular mouse will feel comfortable; hand proportions and grip style still matter.
Logitech lists Bluetooth Low Energy and the Logi Bolt USB receiver as connection options, and lists compatibility with Windows, macOS, Linux, iPadOS, and Android on its official Signature M650 page. Check the version and included receiver details for the region and retailer where you plan to buy.

Best Logitech gaming mouse: wired G502 X
The G502 X is a wired, gaming-oriented option with controls that can also be useful in games or applications where shortcuts matter. Logitech G documents a dual-mode wheel that switches between free-spin and ratcheted scrolling; the wheel also tilts left and right for two additional programmable controls on the official G502 X page.
PC Gamer’s guide, last updated May 18, 2026, selected the G502 X as its best wired gaming mouse. That guide lists 25,600 DPI, 11 buttons, and a weight of 89 g, and praises its shape and programmable controls while warning that its Lightforce clicks can sound clunky. These are figures and judgments from that publication’s guide, not a universal measure of gaming performance.

- The durable, compact design with built-in nano receiver storage makes G305 not just a great portable desktop mouse, but also a great laptop travel companion, use with a gaming laptop and play anywhere
PC Gamer listed the G502 X at $69 / £40 in that May 2026 guide. That is a dated guide price, not a current quote; check the price and stock for your region before buying. If you mainly want a mouse for quiet office work, consider whether the reported click sound and gaming-focused controls are a good fit.

If a full-size productivity mouse is inconvenient to carry, the MX Anywhere 3S is a compact alternative to consider. RTINGS describes it as smaller, lighter, and more portable than the MX Master 3S in its MX Master 3S review. The trade-off is the compact form: decide whether easier packing matters more to you than the MX Master family’s larger ergonomic shape and separate horizontal-scroll wheel. No direct, controlled comparison across all the models in this guide establishes one as universally more comfortable or capable.

What to check before buying
- Hand fit and handedness: Check the mouse’s size and shape against your hand and grip. For the M650, select among standard, large, and left-handed versions.
- Where you will use it: A larger productivity shape may suit a desk routine; a smaller mouse may be easier to carry. Consider wired versus wireless based on your setup.
- Controls you will actually use: A secondary horizontal wheel or programmable gaming controls can help with specific tasks, but add little if your routine does not need them.
- Connection and compatibility: Confirm Bluetooth or receiver requirements, available ports, and operating-system support for the exact model and regional version.
- Current price and availability: Prices and stock change by retailer and region. Treat the G502 X price above as the figure PC Gamer listed in May 2026, not today’s price.
