Pixel phones and tablets on Google’s Android 17 QPR2 Beta list
Google’s Android 17 QPR2 Beta OTA page, dated September 29, 2026, lists these devices for beta OTA images:
- Pixel 6 generation: Pixel 6a
- Pixel 7 generation: Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel 7a
- Pixel 8 generation: Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8a
- Pixel 9 generation: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Pixel 9a
- Pixel 10 generation: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel 10a
- Pixel 11 generation: Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, Pixel 11 Pro Fold
- Other supported devices: Pixel Tablet, Pixel Fold
The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro do not appear on this QPR2 Beta OTA list. Google’s page does not state why they are absent, so their omission should not be taken as evidence of a specific technical or support-policy reason.
Beta eligibility is not the same as stable Android 17 availability
This list is for Android 17 QPR2 Beta OTA images, not a promise that every listed device has the same stable Android 17 update status. Google publishes separate Android 17 stable update guidance; check that page for stable-release information rather than treating beta eligibility as confirmation of a stable OTA.

How to receive Android 17 Beta updates
For a supported device, Google’s Android Beta for Pixel enrollment route is the usual way to join. Google also documents applying a beta through system-image instructions, including manual installation. Follow the current instructions for your device and build on Google’s Android 17 QPR1 setup page.
Google says that after a beta build is installed, the device is automatically enrolled in Android Beta for Pixel and offered ongoing beta OTA updates, including QPR builds, until it is unenrolled. Enrollment therefore governs continuing beta updates; it is separate from whether a device appears on the current QPR2 image list.

Back up before installing or changing builds
Google strongly recommends backing up before installing a beta. Its QPR2 OTA instructions warn that unlocking the bootloader requires a full device reset and removes all user data. That warning applies to bootloader unlocking; it does not mean every beta installation necessarily wipes the device. Google’s stable Android 17 guidance also recommends backing up before updating.

Google’s Android 17 QPR1 instructions say that after applying a stable release, users may opt out of future beta updates without a data wipe during a limited window. That window ends once the next beta update is applied. Because program timing and instructions can change, check Google’s current guidance before opting out.
