A compatible vehicle is only one requirement: your Galaxy phone, Android version, country, and the vehicle’s rollout status must also qualify.
GM vehicles currently listed for Samsung Wallet Digital Key
Samsung’s vehicle-specific compatibility page names these Cadillac model years:

| Brand and model | Supported model years |
|---|---|
| Cadillac LYRIQ | 2025, 2026, 2027 |
| Cadillac OPTIQ | 2026, 2027 |
| Cadillac VISTIQ | 2027 |
These are the GM vehicles Samsung currently identifies as compatible. The list is model-year-specific; a Cadillac nameplate by itself does not establish eligibility. See Samsung’s live Digital Key compatibility list for current details.
Which Galaxy phones and regions are eligible?
For the listed Cadillac vehicles, Samsung specifies Android 16 or higher and lists Galaxy S26, S25+, S24+, and S23+ and Ultra variants, the Galaxy S25 Edge, and Galaxy Z Fold 5 through Fold 8 models. Eligibility can depend on the exact phone variant, so verify your device against Samsung’s current list rather than relying only on its series name.

GM’s September 23, 2026 announcement said the initial eligible Cadillac rollout began in September and would continue through mid-October. Owners are to receive notice in the vehicle mobile app’s “What’s New” section when Digital Key becomes available for their vehicle. A compatible model may therefore not have access until its rollout reaches it.
How to set up a GM digital key in Samsung Wallet
- Sign in to the vehicle manufacturer’s mobile app and register the vehicle, following the app’s instructions.
- Be in the OnStar-connected vehicle with the physical key fob nearby.
- When the feature is available, follow the vehicle app prompts to add a key to a compatible wallet, then complete the steps in the vehicle and Samsung Wallet.
GM says the digital key uses Bluetooth and ultra-wideband for everyday access. It can unlock and drive the vehicle; GM also describes wallet controls for the trunk and climate. Specific controls may vary by vehicle and device. For GM’s rollout and setup details, see its September 23, 2026 announcement.
