You can play free car games in a browser on Poki and CrazyGames, with no download required according to both sites. The best pick depends on whether you want obstacle courses, racing, drifting, puzzles, open-world driving or multiplayer battles. The lists below reflect each platform’s own rankings and descriptions, not an independent head-to-head review.

Poki’s current car-games page lists Drive Mad, Smash Karts, Blacktop Police Chase, Traffic Escape! and Crazy Cars as its top five by Poki Score, with scores of 10/10, 9.6/10, 9.5/10, 9.2/10 and 9.1/10, respectively. These are Poki’s own scores, not results from a comparative review. The same page names Drive Mad, Blacktop Police Chase, Smash Karts, MR RACER – Car Racing and Crazy Cars as its most-played games.

Poki
Poki says its online car games are free to play in a browser without a download or account. It also says its games work in mobile browsers; mobile players use on-screen arrows. Poki’s page lists more than 150 free car games, a platform-reported figure that may change.

CrazyGames
CrazyGames says its car games are free in a web browser and require no download, with advertising supporting the collection. It notes that many games offer two-player play, but support varies by title.
For either portal, open the individual game listing before you start to check device support, controls and multiplayer options. A site-wide claim about browser access does not mean every game supports every phone, control method or kind of multiplayer.

Try Crazy Cars for exploration and split-screen play
Crazy Cars is a useful choice if you want more than a single track: its Poki page describes an open world with obstacles and activities, eight race tracks, collectible stars and wrenches that can be spent on vehicles, and more than 17 cars. The page credits No Pressure Studios and lists desktop, phone and tablet support. It also lists split-screen play.
For keyboard play, the Crazy Cars page gives WASD for Player 1 and the arrow keys for Player 2; Space brakes, Escape pauses and R resets. The page reports a 4.3 rating from 1,558,376 votes and says the game released in September 2022 and was last updated in December 2023. Those are page-reported details and ratings, not a guarantee of current availability or performance on every device.

Choose based on the kind of driving you want
- For a quick test of steering and timing: start with a platform-driving game such as Drive Mad or Monster Tracks.
- For competition: look at Smash Karts or Demolition Derby Crash Racing, then check whether the particular listing describes online or local multiplayer.
- For a less conventional driving challenge: try Traffic Escape! for puzzle-style play or Blacktop Police Chase for a city chase.
- For longer exploration: Crazy Cars offers an open-world setting alongside its tracks and vehicle upgrades.
- For conventional racing or drifting: browse the CrazyGames listings for Racing Limits, Rally Racer Dirt or Super Star Car.
Car games span several genres, so a portal’s “car games” category is broader than lap racing. Poki’s current category page reports that open-world simulation accounts for 41% of its car-game titles and 33% of plays, platform games account for 30% of plays from 7% of titles, and racing makes up more than 30% of games and 18% of plays. These are figures shown by Poki, not independently audited market statistics.
