“PC” and “Xbox on PC” are retained as Square Enix describes them in the announcements. The Rebirth notice specifically identifies Steam for its PC version. The available announcement details do not name every PC storefront for the other listings, so do not assume that the same store carries each game.

Console generation and model
Check that the product page names the console you own. These announcements name PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2; they do not establish that the listed versions run on older PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo hardware. PC storefront
A PC version is not necessarily available through every PC store. For Rebirth, the June 5, 2026 announcement says the PC version is available via Steam. For other games, confirm the store directly on the game’s current listing before buying. “Xbox PC” should also not be read as proof that a game is available on every PC storefront.
Physical versus digital
Availability can differ by format. A platform announcement that confirms a game’s release does not guarantee that a physical copy is sold in your region, that it is currently in stock, or that a digital listing is offered in every territory. Check the edition and format shown at checkout rather than relying on an announcement headline.
Region and edition
The cited announcements identify platforms but do not guarantee regional parity, local stock, or identical editions. Before purchase, verify that the listing is for your country or account region, the platform you intend to use, and the edition you want. This is especially important when a search result combines listings for more than one console or version.

Square Enix’s June 5, 2026 announcement lists Rebirth for Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PS5, and PC. It also says that a free demo is available on Switch 2 and Xbox, and that an optional Streamlined Progression feature is available. Those are details of the announcement; they do not mean the feature is required, or that the demo is available on every platform named for the full game.
If you want to try the demo, check the store for your own platform and region to confirm its current listing. If you are comparing versions of the full game, use the exact platform listing rather than assuming that a feature or offer described for one platform applies identically to every version.
FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE
Square Enix’s January 23, 2026 announcement lists Remake Intergrade for Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, PS5, and PC. The notice also described a promotional Magic: The Gathering—FINAL FANTASY Play Booster with the physical Switch 2 edition while supplies lasted. That was a limited promotional item, not a promise that the booster remains available or is included with every copy; check the current product listing if the promotion matters to you.
