Announced for February 27, 2026
Capcom announced Resident Evil Requiem, Resident Evil 7 biohazard, and Resident Evil Village for Switch 2 on February 27, 2026. Capcom describes Requiem as the ninth main installment in the series and a survival horror game. Its release announcement also reported more than 174 million cumulative Resident Evil franchise sales as of June 30, 2025, and said Requiem received four Gamescom Awards in 2025. Those figures are Capcom’s statements, not an independent sales or awards tally here. Capcom’s announcement

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE
Nintendo’s 2026 roundup listed FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE for January 22, 2026. Square Enix’s April 2, 2025 announcement said the game was coming to Switch 2; its captured announcement also reported more than seven million copies of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE shipped and sold digitally on PlayStation and PC at that time. That is a publisher-reported historical figure for those platforms, not a current total or a Switch 2 sales figure. Nintendo’s 2026 roundup · Square Enix announcement
DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined
Nintendo’s roundup gave February 3, 2026, while Square Enix’s announcement gives February 5, 2026. This article uses the publisher’s February 5 date; the two official sources therefore differ. Check the local listing for the date applicable to your region. Square Enix announcement

Dates, regions, and availability
Nintendo cautions that the dates in its roundup were accurate when it was published. Nintendo’s investor presentation also says game titles and launch dates can change, and that dates may differ by region. Because the October 16, 2026 Capcom date is still upcoming as of October 9, 2026, confirm it close to release. For dates that have passed, a past schedule alone does not establish present local availability; check the publisher announcement or your regional Nintendo eShop.
