That is the developer’s performance report, not an independent test—and it is separate from Steam’s compatibility badge. In the Steam listing observed around the game’s October 9, 2026 release, Steam Deck compatibility was marked “Unknown,” despite the developer’s aim to earn Verified status at launch.
What the developer announced about Steam Deck performance
In a Steam Community update published October 6, 2026, three days before the release date shown on Steam, Truckful’s developer said it had been testing the game on Steam Deck since 2024 and had demonstrated it at PAX East and PAX West. The developer reported a steady 60 fps on high settings through most of the game. This is the developer’s claim; no independent benchmark is established by the announcement. The announcement also says the team optimized for Linux-based handhelds and lower-end hardware. For lower-end devices that meet the game’s official requirements, the developer expects 30 fps at high detail. That, too, is an expectation rather than a tested result or guarantee.

Is Truckful Steam Deck Verified?
The developer said it aimed to have Truckful Steam Deck Verified at launch. An aim is not confirmation: the Steam store listing observed for this article displayed “Steam Deck Compatibility: Unknown.” Do not treat the performance announcement as proof of a Verified badge. Check the current label on Truckful’s Steam store page before buying if Verified status matters to you; the listing status can change.

What kind of game is Truckful?
Steam describes Truckful as a single-player delivery adventure. You drive an old pickup through countryside valleys, deliver goods to villagers, and uncover a mystery surrounding an ancient forest. Steam lists MythicOwl as the developer and MythicOwl and Pocketpair Publishing as publishers, with an October 9, 2026 release date.

The developer’s report is encouraging for players seeking high settings on Steam Deck, but it does not establish performance in every area of the game or under every configuration. “Through most of the game” leaves room for sections that may perform differently, and the announcement provides no independent test data. Lower-end PC owners should likewise treat the 30 fps figure as a forecast tied to meeting the official requirements, not a promise for any particular system.

Steam lists full controller support and recommends a controller, which suits the pickup-driving format. The store page is the place to check the current requirements and compatibility information alongside the developer’s update.
