Her Forsaken Feather mark lets an active teammate trigger coordinated Psyche attacks, while her Ultimate can stay paused when she swaps off-field. That flexibility makes Discord and Stain team plans worth considering—but no cited guide establishes one universally highest-damage team.
What makes Blackbird flexible in a team?
Blackbird’s basic-attack sequence builds Malice, which parts of her Witch of Deliverance sequence consume. Her Ultimate transforms her into the Witch of Deliverance, and its duration does not decrease while she is off-field, according to the Neverness.gg Blackbird guide. You can pause her sequence, let an ally take the field, then return to Blackbird to continue.

Her Redirect Skill, Netherplume Rite, applies Forsaken Feather to a target. While the mark remains, damage from another active ally can trigger Forsaken Bird, a coordinated Psyche attack. The build guide says Forsaken Bird can trigger at most once every two seconds and up to five times total. This lets Blackbird add damage while a teammate is acting, rather than requiring her to occupy the field continuously.
The specialist team guide also says Netherplume Rite immediately fills the Esper Cycle Gauge. Pairing Psyche with Chaos can trigger Nova; pairing Psyche with Lakshana can trigger Stain. The character database describes Stain as increasing Psyche and Lakshana damage taken by 20% for 12 seconds, and Nova as dealing Mental Damage when its five-second effect ends. Those are descriptions of game mechanics, not measured damage results for a particular team.

What are the best Blackbird teams or comps?
Choose a team based on who should deal most of the on-field damage, which reaction you want to use, and which characters you have built. These compositions are listed in current team guidance; their inclusion is not proof of a universal ranking.
| Goal | Example composition | Why consider it | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Discord damage with Zankou as the main attacker | Blackbird / Zankou / Daffodill / Sakiri | The guide identifies this as Discord-focused: Blackbird and Daffodill enable Nova, while Zankou brings Incantation to the reaction plan. | Requires these roster pieces; the guide does not establish it as the highest-damage team in every account or encounter. |
| Discord with more DoT emphasis | Blackbird / Zankou / Lacrimosa / Sakiri | Listed as an alternate Discord team with a stronger damage-over-time emphasis. | Depends on owning the characters and maintaining the intended effects through the rotation. |
| Stain / Chaos quick-swap damage | Blackbird / Chaos / Hathor / Zero | Blackbird and Chaos can trigger Stain, and Chaos can take the field while Blackbird contributes Forsaken Bird. | Both damage dealers need meaningful field time; favor the one whose kit and investment suit your account. |
| Blackbird-centered Psyche carry | Blackbird / a Lakshana character / offensive buffers | A player theorycraft proposal centers Blackbird as a hypercarry, keeping Stain active and timing buffs around her Ultimate. | This is a community rotation concept, not a benchmarked guide or proven ranking. |
The specific compositions above come from the Icy Veins NTE team guide, except for the carry concept, which is a player theorycraft suggestion. Icy Veins cautions that listing a team does not by itself indicate its relative power.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How should you choose between Discord, Stain, and a carry setup?
- Decide who gets the field time. In the Zankou Discord options, Zankou is the primary attacker. In a Stain / Chaos setup, plan for the second damage dealer to act while Blackbird contributes off-field. A carry setup instead times buffs for Blackbird’s own sequence.
- Pick the reaction plan. The guide presents Discord teams built around Blackbird, Chaos, and an Incantation teammate, and a Stain plan pairing Blackbird with Chaos. The character database also describes Stain’s Psyche and Lakshana damage-taken effect.
- Work from your roster and investment. A composition’s value depends on having its named characters and building them well; do not force a listed team if another available teammate better fits the role.
- Consider rotation comfort. Blackbird’s off-field Ultimate window creates room for ally actions, but your rotation still needs to make use of the mark and any planned reaction or buff windows.
How does a Blackbird quick-swap rotation work?
- Use Blackbird’s Redirect Skill, Netherplume Rite, to mark the target with Forsaken Feather.
- Activate her Ultimate to enter Witch of Deliverance, then use the parts of her sequence appropriate to your planned rotation.
- Swap to the teammate who should deal damage or apply the next effect. Damage to the marked target can trigger Forsaken Bird while Blackbird is off-field.
- Use the teammate’s actions to pursue the team’s reaction plan—such as the Discord or Stain setup—and take advantage of Blackbird’s Esper Cycle contribution.
- Return to Blackbird to continue her sequence before her Ultimate window ends.
This is a rotation framework, not a guaranteed optimal sequence: the available guides describe the interactions but do not establish a single best order for every encounter or roster.

No published, named performance statistic in the cited guides establishes a universal damage winner. The sources provide mechanics, team suggestions, and rotation concepts—not comparable benchmarks across teams. Treat claims such as “insane DMG” as a reason to test a composition in your own account, not as a verified ranking.
Team guides are version-sensitive. The Blackbird build guide was updated September 30, 2026, and Icy Veins marks its team guide updated October 7, 2026. A player-authored four-team post describes itself as non-comprehensive, so use it as theorycraft context rather than authority for a ranking.
