JVC Smart TVs do not all use the same app store or offer the same apps. The available choices depend on your exact TV model, its operating system, your country, and software support. Find the model number first, identify its platform, then search that platform’s built-in app store for the service you want.
Why JVC TVs have different app catalogs
“JVC Smart TV” is a brand description, not the name of one universal TV platform. JVC models may use Roku TV, Google TV, Android TV, or VIDAA, among other region- and model-specific configurations. Each platform has its own app interface, and a service’s availability can also vary by country, model, and software version.

How to find your JVC TV’s platform and app store
- Find the model number. Check the label on the back of the TV or look in the TV’s Settings/About area. Menu names can differ by platform.
- Identify the operating system. Check the home screen and settings, or search the model number on the official JVC site for your country. The manual for your exact model can also identify the platform.
- Open that platform’s app interface. Search the built-in store or channel interface for the service you want. Follow the on-screen installation or add-channel instructions for that TV.
- Check regional and model support. Confirm that the app is listed for your country and supported on your model and software version. An app name shown on a JVC page for another region does not establish local availability.
How do I download apps on my JVC Smart TV?
Use the app store or channel interface built into the TV’s operating system; there is no single download path for all JVC sets. On an Android TV model, check Google Play on the TV. On a Roku TV, use its channel interface. Other platforms have their own app catalogs and menus. The exact menu labels and available services depend on the model and region, so use the instructions for your TV rather than applying steps from a different JVC model.
What the VIDAA phone app does—and does not do
A phone companion app is not the same thing as a TV app catalog. VIDAA’s support instructions say the operating-system version is under Home > Settings > Support > About and describe a separate path for checking firmware upgrades. A JVC manual for model JTV4023DCS gives the mobile-app download path as Settings > Support > Mobile App Download. That is an instruction for the manual’s model, not a menu path that should be assumed for every JVC TV. JVC TV manuals

Why can’t I find an app on my JVC TV?
- Your TV uses a different platform. Instructions for Roku TV, Android TV, Google TV, or VIDAA are not interchangeable.
- The service may not be available in your country. App catalogs and streaming rights can differ by region.
- The app may not support your model or software version. Check the service’s official listing and the support information for your exact TV.
- You may be looking in the wrong interface. A phone remote or casting app helps operate or send media to a TV; it does not add the phone app to the TV’s own catalog.
When an HDMI streaming device may help
If the TV’s built-in app interface does not offer a service you need, an HDMI streaming device is a possible alternative: it runs its own supported apps through the TV’s HDMI input. This is a practical workaround, not a JVC guarantee that every player or service will work with every set. Before choosing one, check that your TV has an available HDMI input and that the device and service support your country.
