For a family-friendly tour of the main-film saga, try LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga; for a connected Jedi story, begin with Jedi: Fallen Order; and for battles, starfighters, tactics or an online role-playing world, choose the game built around that format.
Choose a Star Wars game by the experience you want
The games below offer different formats rather than steps in one franchise-wide sequence. These recommendations are based on official descriptions, not comparative gameplay testing or a universal quality ranking.

| A family-friendly introduction to the main-film saga | LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga | LEGO says it retells all nine Skywalker Saga films with LEGO humor and describes it as accessible to younger players. LEGO’s game page calls it “an accessible entry point” that is easy for younger players to pick up while still offering depth for anyone to enjoy. |
| A focused, cinematic Jedi story | Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order | A single-player action-adventure following Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis after Order 66. Play Jedi: Survivor next for the continuation. EA’s Fallen Order page describes its story and storefronts. |
| To try the newer Cal Kestis game first | Star Wars Jedi: Survivor | EA says it can be played as a standalone adventure, though it is a sequel set five years after Fallen Order. Starting with the earlier game gives you the intended story sequence. |
| Large battles and multiplayer | Star Wars Battlefront II | EA describes multiplayer battles across the prequel, classic and new trilogy eras, alongside a single-player story spanning 30 years. Those figures describe the game’s scope, not a quality or sales measure. |
| First-person starfighter piloting | Star Wars: Squadrons | EA describes a starfighter-piloting game with multiplayer dogfights and a single-player campaign. |
| Turn-based tactical combat | Star Wars Zero Company | EA’s listing describes a single-player, turn-based tactics game. Check your regional platform store for current release and availability details. |
| An online role-playing world | Star Wars: The Old Republic | EA points to it as a massive online world. Check current service details and platform requirements before choosing it. |
For a story you can follow, play the Jedi games in order
Fallen Order introduces Cal Kestis as a Jedi Padawan in hiding after Order 66. Survivor continues his story five years later, according to StarWars.com’s game page. That makes Fallen Order the natural first choice if you want the character arc to unfold in sequence. EA says Survivor can also stand alone, so newcomers who prefer its entry point are not required to play the first game first.
Check platforms before you buy
Availability can vary by platform generation, storefront and region. EA’s current help page for Jedi: Survivor lists PC through the EA app, Steam and Epic, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. EA’s Fallen Order page lists the EA app, Steam, Epic, PlayStation and Xbox storefronts. Before purchasing any title, confirm the exact console generation, regional availability, edition, storage needs and current price with the relevant store.

There is no required order across the franchise
You can choose a game by format—solo story, multiplayer battles, starfighter piloting, turn-based tactics or online role-playing—without following a single prescribed order. For other titles, decide based on the experience you want rather than assuming they form a shared play order.
