Nintendo offers a Genesis collection through Switch Online, but its public page does not confirm that Landstalker is included—check your region’s Nintendo Classics app before subscribing for this game.

Playing the original on Genesis or Mega Drive
The SEGA manual documents Landstalker as a Genesis/Mega Drive release. If you want the original cartridge version, you will need both a compatible console and the game; buying a cartridge alone does not provide hardware. Because you are shopping in the used market, inspect the seller’s images and confirm the cartridge’s region and condition before buying.

Is Landstalker on Nintendo Switch?
Nintendo’s US page confirms that a SEGA Genesis – Nintendo Switch Online collection exists and explains that included games are accessed through the Switch Online or Nintendo Classics apps. It does not list Landstalker in the accessible catalog text. SEGA’s removal notice says selected classics remain playable through Nintendo Switch Online, but does not identify which titles. Availability of the collection therefore does not establish availability of this specific game. Check the game list in your region’s app before signing up for the purpose of playing it. What are the PC controls like?
For the PC version covered by SEGA’s Genesis Classics manual, keyboard controls are documented, and the game can also use a Windows-compatible controller with a D-pad and at least four other assignable buttons. This guidance applies to that manual’s PC edition; it does not establish compatibility for every modern setup or emulator. SEGA Genesis Classics manual
