What to do after defeating Corpius
Corpius is the first boss, and defeating it gives Samus the Phantom Cloak. Your next main progression route stays in Artaria: head to the top-right section of the map and look for the Sensor-Lock Door beneath a heat room.

How to get through the Sensor-Lock Door
- Open the map and make your way toward Artaria’s top-right section.
- Find the Sensor-Lock Door below the heat room.
- Activate Phantom Cloak before approaching, then keep it active as you cross the door.
- Continue onward to reach the elevator to Cataris.
Phantom Cloak lets Samus pass Sensor-Lock Doors without being detected. The route is described in Nintendo Life’s post-Phantom Cloak guide; Game8’s stuck-in-an-area guide also corroborates the door mechanic and route toward the Cataris elevator.
If you are still unsure where to go
Use the map screen to orient yourself and check the Mission Log for hints. Nintendo says hidden hints can appear in the game world, on the map screen, and in the Mission Log. Its guidance also notes that routes can vary, so this is the intended immediate progression path rather than a claim that no alternate route is possible. See Nintendo’s Metroid Dread Report Vol. 11.
