The schematic is a quest reward—not a boss drop or the finished weapon.
How to unlock the Iceveil clue chain
Start by completing the supply progression for Iceveil. Guides describe earlier objectives involving cooked meat and Health Elixirs, but they do not agree on exact quantities. For example, one route guide lists nine cooked meats and 25 Health Elixirs; treat those figures as guide-specific, and follow the current quest tracker if it shows different requirements.

After the supply step involving Iceveil Guard Shiro, speak with the NPCs named in the clue progression and complete their dialogue and any objectives shown in-game:

Do not skip ahead to the dig based only on a location description. Finish the active objectives and return for the final clue; the game’s current dialogue and quest tracker are the best guides to the next step.

Get the Shovel before searching for the snow pile
Buy the Shovel from the Iceveil shop NPC identified in guides as Winter Store Rep Lynx, and keep it until you have completed the dig. It is an in-game item required for the quest action, not a recommendation to use a real-world shovel.
Where to dig for the schematic
Once you have received the final location clue, search the snowy area around the houses in Iceveil Settlement. Guides describe the spot as a snow pile near the houses at the top of the settlement, beyond the last houses, or by a house near Domae. These descriptions point to the same general settlement area, but do not establish one universally precise landmark.

- Take Up the Sword Once Again - Play as Tanjiro Kamado and face off against evil demons in key moments from the “Entertainment District Arc,” “Swordsmith Village Arc,” and “Hashira Training Arc” with breathtaking visuals and combat.
- The Hashira Unite - A host of new arrivals added to the roster, with over 40 playable characters to choose from including the nine Hashira, the highest rank of the Demon Slayer Corps.
- More Ways to Play - Expanded Single Player content allows you to relive the story in a brand-new way.
- Follow the final clue and quest marker, if one is shown, toward the settlement houses.
- Look for a snow pile or patch in the area described by the clue.
- Use the in-game Shovel on the snow. The schematic is the reward for the quest dig.
If the dig does not trigger, check that the supply and NPC objectives are complete, that you have the Shovel, and that you have received the final clue before trying nearby snow patches.
What the schematic unlocks
Finding the schematic unlocks the War Fans recipe; it does not grant the finished weapon. You will still need the required materials and any further crafting progression shown in the game. Recipe details and other gameplay requirements can change with updates, so check the current in-game recipe rather than relying on an older list.

Why walkthrough details may differ
Recent guides agree on the broad route—Iceveil supply progression, an NPC clue chain, and a Shovel-assisted dig near the settlement houses—but vary on supply quantities and the exact snow-pile landmark. No official developer map or current official walkthrough establishes every prerequisite and landmark, so use the live quest tracker and NPC dialogue to resolve differences. Guides also report a level 100-or-higher requirement, but that should be treated as guide-reported rather than a universal current requirement.
